As we explore thoughtful expansion into Texas, I’m hoping to connect with forward-thinking physicians who are passionate about improving access to mental health care. I’m especially interested in those who are curious about collaborative care models, entrepreneurial ventures, or opportunities to lead from a clinical perspective—without the burden of administrative overhead. If you’re a Texas-licensed MD/DO or know someone who might align with this vision, I’d welcome the connection. We're heading to TX (Dallas, Houston and Austin) in just 2 weeks to tour brick-and-mortar locations and meet like-minded and entrepreneurial providers as we plan our launch in the fall. We'd love to meet in-person while we're there. #HealthcareInnovation #MentalHealth #TexasPhysicians #LeadershipInMedicine

Some mentors don’t just teach—they shape lives. I’m honored to celebrate J’May Rivara, recipient of the Legacy Award from the University of Washington School of Social Work. J’May has been a steadfast mentor, educator, and advocate—not only for me but for generations of students and clinicians. Her impact goes far beyond the classroom. She has spent decades uplifting others with humility, brilliance, and an unwavering commitment to justice, clinical excellence, and access to care. I was one of the many fortunate enough to learn under her guidance. J’May believed in me at a time when I was still finding my footing, and her mentorship continues to influence the way I lead, teach, and serve today. This award honors not only a distinguished career, but a legacy of compassion, strength, and transformative mentorship. Please join me in congratulating J’May on this well-deserved recognition. #LegacyAward #UWSSW #MentorshipMatters #Gratitude #SocialWorkLeadership #JMayRivara #HonoringExcellence
We’re thrilled to share that J’May Bertrand Rivara, associate teaching professor emerita, has received the UW Distinguished Teaching Legacy Award! 💜 Created in 2017, this award honors educators whose teaching continues to inspire students long after they’ve left the classroom. Rivara has nearly 50 years of experience teaching graduate students and inspiring the next generation of social workers. “Colleagues tell stories of the profound influence J'May has had on their identities as social workers,” says former student Warren Leyh.
