Some days, you trade in meetings, laptops and office chairs for paint brushes, sanders, nail guns and hard hats — and it’s always worth it. Today, a group of us from Miller Zell had the privilege of volunteering with Habitat for Humanity here in Atlanta. It was a day full of sweat, teamwork, and purpose — helping to complete a build of not just a home, but hope for a family in our community. What made it even more meaningful was doing it alongside colleagues I admire and enjoy working with. There’s something special about connecting outside of the office walls — learning how someone ensures every detail is cared for or has a “where do you need me to help, now?” mindset can tell you just as much about them as a client meeting ever could.
