This week, Living Resources proudly joined the celebration of the 35th Anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). We were honored to bring students and alumni from The College Experience program to meet New York State Office for People With Developmental Disabilities Commissioner Willow Baer, who shared her support for continued progress on inclusion and accessibility. Our Corporation Board Member Melanie Hecker delivered a moving and personal speech about navigating the world as a person with a disability, and how the ADA has helped to remove barriers and open opportunities but there is still work to be done! The event was a testament to the power of advocacy, community, and connection. Together, we carry the ADA’s spirit forward. #ADA35 #DisabilityAdvocacy #InclusionMatters #LivingResources #CollegeExperience
