When we started Launch Potato, one of the first bets we made was on the power of email. Fast forward 12 years to today, and that thesis has only gotten stronger. Our flagship brand, FinanceBuzz, now partners with more than 100 different newsletters. We’ve helped publishers monetize through performance campaigns, building what we believe is the most performance-focused newsletter monetization engine in the industry. And today, we’re doubling down. I’m thrilled to share that Launch Potato has acquired Only In Your State one of the largest travel and local discovery platforms in the country. Only In Your State reaches more than 4 million monthly readers, with nearly 18 million followers across social platforms, a 1.8 million-subscriber newsletter, and one of the fastest-growing travel podcasts (States of Discovery), an innovative AI Trip Planner. But it’s more than just big numbers. What makes Only In Your State special is how deeply it resonates with people. It inspires them to rediscover the places they call home, from roadside diners to scenic drives and hidden hikes. It’s a brand that fits squarely within our mission: helping people make smarter decisions and discover more of what matters. For us, this move isn’t just about acquiring traffic or content, it’s about continuing to invest in owned, high-quality distribution and building a portfolio of brands that people trust. It’s about leaning into what’s worked since day one: growing through great content, smart performance marketing, and a relentless focus on delivering value to both users and advertisers. And it’s only the beginning.
