As KCE's CEO Brian Hayes wrote in Latitude Media "#BatteryEnergyStorage isn’t a luxury. It’s an insurance policy against electric price volatility and an engine for economic opportunity." While New York experienced price spikes and blackouts during the recent heatwaves, batteries kept prices low and the electric grid stable in Texas. New Yorkers deserve the same certainty, it's time to meet the moment.

Thanks to SK Group for highlighting KCE's Senior Manager of Operations and Maintenance Kyle Hull who oversees the operations of KCE's #BatteryEnergyStorage sites in New York. These projects provide New Yorkers with a stable and reliable electric grid year round!
The role Key Capture Energy (an SK Innovation E&S company) plays in strengthening the electric #grid gives him a sense of purpose and satisfaction, says Kyle Hull, Senior Manager for Operations and Maintenance for the company. In his role with KCE, Kyle oversees multiple #BatteryStorage sites across the state of #NewYork. These sites store power – especially from renewable sources like solar and wind – so it can be released when electric demand increases and it’s needed most. This is particularly important in the summer months when air conditioning use spikes energy demand. “Most importantly, Key Capture Energy’s systems provide a stable and reliable electric grid for the communities where they are located,” Kyle says. In this #SKatWork spotlight, we can see how experts like Kyle Hull are helping power the systems that enable our increasingly electrified world.
