Happy Fourth of July from Kapitus! As we celebrate our nation’s independence we are reminded of the incredible role small businesses play in shaping the American dream. From local shops to innovative startups, small businesses are the backbone of our economy—creating jobs, fueling innovation, and building vibrant communities across the country. Independence comes in many forms, so to add to our 4th of July Celebrations, we asked business owners how financing has helped them to remain independent and achieve their goals. As always, their responses come with heaping doses of inspiration, grit and determination. Today, Kapitus honors these and all business owners, their teams, and their families who work tirelessly to make their vision a reality. Your passion, resilience, and commitment help keep the spirit of America alive and full of opportunity. As a reminder Kapitus offices will be closed on Friday, July 4th. We wish everyone a safe and joyful Independence Day filled with good company, delicious food 🌭🍉🍔, and maybe even some fireworks! ✨ #FourthOfJuly #SmallBusiness #IndependenceDay

We are thrilled to share the results of our 2025 Pride T-Shirt competition! This year, we received an incredible 140 votes internally and 55 votes externally on LinkedIn, marking the highest engagement we've seen since the competition began! This growth in engagement is a testament to our team's dedication to fostering an inclusive environment where diversity is celebrated and everyone feels valued. Now, for the winners! Starting with our honorable mention, Maria Imuede's design, Unity (Design A)! Maria chose unity as the heart of her design because, to her, it lays the foundation for lasting peace. In third place, Axel Burboeck's design, Pride Flag History – Then and Now (Design B), beautifully incorporated the 1979 six-stripe rainbow pride flag in the Kapitus logo on the front of the shirt, located over the heart of the wearer. The back of the shirt featured the Kapitus logo in the most recent LGBTQ+ pride flag variation, the 2021 Intersex-Inclusive Progress Pride Flag. Our second-place winner, Taylor Slugg (Design D), created a design titled Embracing Your Individuality. This fun twist on the pride flag highlighted uniqueness and sent an encouraging message to be your true and original self. And finally, our first-place winner is Ishwarya Ramkumar with her design, Empowering Diversity (Design C)! Ishwarya's design draws inspiration from the mosaic art form, where individual pieces come together to create something greater - much like how diverse perspectives strengthen our community and company. Ishwarya chose a minimalist approach with geometric precision to reflect Kapitus' professional identity while celebrating Pride. The central placement of our logo surrounded by Pride colors represents our commitment to putting diversity at the heart of everything we do. In addition to the T-Shirt competition, we hosted several other Pride events this month: Pride & Grief: Holding Both – A Conversation on Navigating Identity, Loss & Resilience: Led by Jimanekia Eborn, this session provided a space for reflection, connection, and truth, focusing on the intersection of Pride and grief. Virtual Pride Parade: Employees shared their Pride experiences and moments in a dedicated Slack channel, celebrating visibility and community. At Kapitus, we believe that diversity, equity, and inclusion are fundamental to our success and the well-being of our community. Thank you to everyone who participated and voted, making this year's competition the most engaging one yet! #PrideMonth #Diversity #Equity #Inclusion #KapitusPride #TShirtDesign #Community #LGBTQ+

We’re so excited to share that Kapitus has made Inc.’s Best Workplaces list for 2025! This recognition celebrates companies that go beyond business goals to create exceptional workplace cultures — and we’re honored to be one of them. At Kapitus, we believe our people are our greatest strength. Whether helping small business owners secure financing or collaborating across teams, our employees bring passion, purpose and dedication to everything they do. This award reflects their impact and the culture we’ve built together. As our CEO, Andrew Reiser, put it, “Each day our team shows up fully, working together to build meaningful connections with each other, our customers and our partners. They are the heart and soul of the important work we do in supporting small businesses.” This award reflects the progress we’ve made, and it inspires us to keep building an even stronger workplace. As our CFO, Anthony Rose, says, “Our entire leadership team is deeply committed to listening to employee feedback, driving continuous improvement, and fostering a workplace where every employee feels valued, supported, and empowered. We understand that reaching this milestone is just the beginning— culture is something that must be continuously nurtured and supported” Thank you to our team for making Kapitus such a great place to work. At Kapitus, we believe that diversity and inclusion are the cornerstones of a thriving workplace. As we celebrate Pride Month, we are reminded of the importance of creating an environment where everyone can be their true selves. To make this Pride Month unforgettable, we have planned a series of engaging activities that celebrate the spirit of Pride and bring our remote workforce together: 🌈 T-Shirt Design Contest & Giveaway: We are thrilled to announce that last year's winning design by Jeffrey Jines from our Risk Department is being shipped to all employees to kick off Pride Month! This year’s contest will determine the design for our 2026 Pride festivities. Employees are invited to submit their designs, incorporating the Kapitus logo and a powerful Pride message. The top 4 finalists will be showcased on LinkedIn during the week of June 23rd and the design with the most reactions will be named the winner. Be sure to pop back in a couple of weeks to vote for your favorite design! ✨ Virtual Pride Parade: Throughout the month, employees are encouraged to share their Pride experiences and celebrations in our Slack channel or via email. Whether it's a video or a photo featuring themselves, family, and friends, these moments help us create a vibrant gallery of celebrations. To show our gratitude, those who share a Pride Parade video or photo and join our virtual speaker event will receive a special token of appreciation! 💬 Inspiring Speaker Series: Later in the month, we will host a special guest speaker who will share inspiring stories and insights on LGBTQIA+ history, challenges, and achievements. This event aims to educate, inspire, and foster a deeper understanding of the issues faced by the LGBTQ+ community. As we continue to build a culture of acceptance and equality, we invite you to join us in celebrating Pride Month. Come back to our LinkedIn page on June 23rd to vote for your favorite T-shirt design, and tag us in your Pride photos or videos on LinkedIn! Together, we can make a difference and create a world where everyone can be their true selves.

This Arab American Heritage Month is all about honoring the past and inspiring the future. That's why, as part of our Kapitus Speaker Series, we welcomed Professor Moustafa Bayoumi to share his story with us this week! Professor Bayoumi is a leading voice in Middle Eastern studies, known for his thoughtful work on race, identity, and social justice. As a professor at Brooklyn College, he authored "How Does It Feel to Be a Problem?", a book that takes a deep and profound look at the lives of young Arab American men in the post-9/11 Western world. In addition to his writing, Professor Bayoumi has been a strong advocate in challenging stereotypes and promoting a better understanding of the unique struggles and contributions of Arab Americans. The professor's words made a deep impact on all 120 attendees of our speaker event. He took us on an enlightening journey: from the first major wave of Arab immigration to the United States in the 1880's all the way to today's tumultuous political climate. We learned about the invention of the ice cream cone, the names and stories of some of the most influential (yet often overlooked) Arab American figures in modern U.S. history, and Professor Bayoumi's own experiences living in post-9/11 New York City as a member of the Arab American community. But most importantly, we were inspired to listen, to learn about our diverse American culture, and to respect all the hearts and minds who built our country. We were truly honored to have Professor Bayoumi speak to our team this week. Through the continuation of our Speaker Series, we’re excited to keep learning together about the different cultural experiences that shape America, and how to help build a better, kinder society. #KapitusSpeakerSeries #EventsatKapitus #ArabAmericanHeritageMonth2025

Happy Earth Day to all our colleagues, partners, and communities around the world! Today, we’re proud to celebrate not only our amazing planet but also the innovative choices that help protect it. We reflect on our collective responsibility to care for the environment, and remind ourselves to both celebrate the natural world and drive meaningful action toward sustainability for future generations. At Kapitus, we’re proud to support practices that not only propel our business forward, but also contribute to a healthier environment. Being a remote-first organization plays a key role in reducing our carbon footprint in several ways. It: 🚗 Eliminates long daily commutes for our employees 🏢 Minimizes energy consumption from traditional office spaces 🗑️ Decreases waste from paper and other office supplies And that's just to name a few ways! By embracing remote work, every virtual meeting we hold and every project we undertake helps reduce our impact on the environment. That's why, in the spirit of honoring the Earth that takes such good care of us, let’s continue to think global and act local. Here’s to making choices that benefit our planet and drive innovation for a brighter, greener future! #EarthDay #Sustainability #RemoteWork #GreenWorkplace #Kapitus
