🌟💔 Last week, we stood united in East Harlem! Children’s mental health advocates, families, and elected leaders like Assembly member Manny De Los Santos rallied to demand action against devastating federal budget cuts. Together with the Campaign for Healthy Minds, Healthy Kids, and other child advocacy groups, we urged our state to defend essential mental health care for our youth. Let’s prioritize the well-being of our children! 💪🏽❤️ #MentalHealthMatters #AdvocacyInAction #HealthyMindsHealthyKids
About us
Repair the world, child by child. JCCA's Mission: JCCA's mission is based on a heritage of providing quality services to children and their families, and the universal mandate within the Jewish tradition of tikkun olam — the responsibility of every person to make the world a better place. Our mission is to meet the child welfare and mental health needs of all children and their families in the New York metropolitan area. At the same time we are committed to providing services to Jewish children and their families in support of Jewish continuity. Our highly trained, dedicated staff works collaboratively with families to build on their strengths, preserve the family when possible, and help create new families when necessary, so that all children may thrive by having a sense of family, culture and community. We believe in our obligation to repair the world, child by child. JCCA Services: JCCA, formerly known as Jewish Child Care Association, provides comprehensive care to thousands of children, young people and families who come from New York's many diverse communities. Since 1822, we have embraced those who need us most -- abused, neglected and traumatized young people who are struggling with poverty, developmental disabilities and complex mental illness. We also work with disadvantaged Jewish immigrants and with Jewish children and their families in support of Jewish continuity. Our programs include foster and residential care, educational assistance and remediation, case management for young people with mental health challenges and services to families to prevent child abuse and maltreatment. JCCA offers safety, stability and lifesaving support to help our clients transform their lives. JCCA programs help more than 17,000 children and families annually.

This afternoon, our LEAP Arches team joined NYC Department of Probation’s “Probation Week 2025: Health & Harmony” event at Rev. T Wendell Forest Park! 🌳✨ LEAP Arches is a Bronx‑based collaboration with NYC Probation—a transformative, six‑month mentorship cycle serving 40 young adults annually. Led by “credible messengers”, our mentors meet twice weekly to deliver two‑hour structured sessions that guide participants toward positive change. At today’s “Chillin’ & Grillin’” event, our staff, shared health‑and‑wellness resources and connected attendees to community supports. A huge thanks to NYC Probation and all sponsors for centering “Every Voice, Every Borough!” #HealthAndHarmony #ProbationWeek2025 #CredibleMessengers #LEAPArches #JCCA

✨ The team is still feeling energized after an incredible time at The Training Institutes 2025—a powerful national convening focused on “Building a World Where Young People Thrive.” We’re especially proud of Dr. Leah Hallow, Psy.D. and Dr. Jessica Schutte, who delivered compelling presentations on the evolution of our campus Pride parade—highlighting its role in creating truly affirming spaces across our agency. Their leadership continues to drive inclusive, youth-centered change. 🌈 Let’s keep pushing forward—amplifying young voices, fostering belonging, and building a future where every young person can thrive. #YoungPeopleThrive #2025TrainingInstitutes #LGBTQYouth #InclusionMatters

What a fantastic day at LEAP's end of year picnic! We celebrated the wonderful achievements of our youth in the LEAP program, which empowers young people through academic, vocational, and life skills support. From academic tutoring to our specialized high school and career-based internships, LEAP is dedicated to paving the way for long-term success. We’re so proud of the resilience and growth shown by all the participants this year. The picnic was filled with laughter, games, and community spirit as we honored the hard work and dedication of our young leaders. Thank you to everyone who joined us yesterday and contributed to making this event special. Here's to an incredible year ahead! #LEAP #JCCA #YouthEmpowerment #Community #EndOfYearPicnic #TogetherWeAchieve
