What I’ve Been Up to at ISG the last year: It’s been a busy and rewarding stretch recently, and I wanted to share a few highlights! 🔹 Wasbaha-Kellogg School District | Wabasha, MN This project involved a complete mechanical system upgrade in the high school, along with a full interior facelift—including fully remodeled spaces. It’s always exciting to breathe new life into buildings where students will grow and learn for years to come. 🔹 Elk Point-Jefferson Middle School Addition | Elk Point, SD We added a storm shelter that doubles as a new multi-purpose space and weight room, along with remodeled classrooms. It's great to contribute to safer, more functional learning environments. 🔹 Aurora Place | Washburn, WI (With Cinnaire as developer) This was a new construction of 40 multi-family housing units across 4 buildings + a clubhouse. A big shoutout to Borton Construction as the CMaR! What made this unique was the mechanical design—tailored for multi-family living with an ENERGY STAR certification goal. This was new territory for our mechanical team and a great learning experience. Hopefully more of these types of projects to come in the future! 👉 Have you worked on a similar multi-family ENERGY STAR project? I’d love to hear how it went! 🔹 First Dakota National Bank Lobby Renovation | Yankton, SD This one means a lot to me—it was my first project as the engineer of record, after officially getting licensed earlier this year. We remodeled the entire lobby and upgraded the original 1950s mechanical system, which (amazingly) was still running on pneumatic controls. 👉 Ever come across systems that old still in operation?
