What happens when you empower young minds with the tools of innovation, creativity, and possibility — all in one room? On June 12, 2025, STEM met purpose at the Mini STEM Fest held at Andrew H. Wilson Charter School, an InspireNOLA Charter Schools, our STEM NOLA team and 17 volunteer STEM mentors had the privilege of engaging 242 elementary school kids - 108 young scholars from Alice M. Harte Charter School and another 134 from Andrew Wilson in hands-on, minds-on STEM activities. From designing and building to testing and exploring, students dove into the world of science, technology, engineering, and math — discovering how the skills they’re learning today can launch them into a future of opportunity tomorrow. The smiles, the questions, the breakthroughs… every moment was a reminder that you belong in STEM. This Mini STEM Fest wasn’t just a half day event — it was a powerful expression of two transformative missions coming together. InspireNOLA Charter Schools exists to prepare every child for one of the 4 E’s: enrollment, enlistment, employment, or entrepreneurship — believing that every child can thrive with the right support. STEM NOLA | STEM Global Action brings that vision to life through culturally relevant, community-based STEM education that is designed to spark curiosity and unlock future pathways. Together, we are proving that STEM access and excellence can start early and belong to every child, in every neighborhood. 📸 Check out a few action shots from this incredible day!
