It’s been an eventful summer for Kim Lamb. Along with celebrating her 40th work anniversary, Kim was just promoted to Director of Outpatient Imaging! 🎉 In this new leadership role, Kim will oversee day-to-day operations of six busy imaging centers performing nearly half a million CT, MRI, radiology, nuclear medicine and other diagnostic studies each year.🩻 Growing up in Lauderdale County, Kim had a friend whose father was an imaging tech. “It just seemed like a really cool job,” she said. Kim went on to graduate from UAB’s radiologic sciences program and joined Huntsville Hospital in 1985. She has served as operations manager for our imaging services since 2009. “Every day brings a new challenge,” Kim said, “and an opportunity to make a real difference in someone’s life.” 💚 Please help us congratulate Kim on this well-deserved opportunity. 👏

Our Madison Street Tower construction project is really heating up this summer. 👷☀️ The concrete slab that will serve as the tower’s 6th floor is now in place, and work is under way on the 7th floor slab. Crews have also made significant progress on the exterior walls and support columns, allowing the structure to rise just a bit higher each day.🏗️ There’s lots more to do, though, before the expanded tower is ready for patients in mid-2027. More than just a pretty building, the new-look Madison Street Tower will include 120 patient rooms plus state-of-the-art Neuro and Cardiovascular Intensive Care Units, giving us the advanced clinical space needed to serve our growing region for many years to come. 💚

We are a proud recipient of the American Heart Association’s 2025 Get With The Guidelines Gold Plus award for heart failure care! 🏆 Only hospitals that follow the latest research- and evidence-based treatment guidelines for heart failure patients are considered for this prestigious seal of approval. That’s not all. AHA also gave us the following kudos: ✅Target: Heart Failure Optimal for meeting specific criteria to improve medication adherence, provide early follow-up care and coordination, and enhance patient education. ✅Target: Type 2 Diabetes Honor Roll for ensuring patients with diabetes receive the most up-to-date, evidence-based care when hospitalized due to heart disease or stroke. Please help us thank the many HH Health physicians, advanced practice providers, nurses, techs and other clinical staff who pour their ❤️ into caring for cardiac patients. 👏

With about 12,000 dedicated team members across Madison County, choosing just one as our Employee of the Month can be a tall task. But Cynthia Balch from HH Tennessee Valley Pain Center was an obvious pick as our July winner. She’s been providing exceptional customer service for more than 30 years and is beloved by patients, co-workers and physicians alike. “Cindy lifts everyone around her,” says a colleague. “She’s a dear friend to many and brings a sense of joy and dependability that genuinely impacts our daily lives.” “Simply put, there’s not enough ink to describe the full value she brings." We appreciate you, Cindy! 👏💚🏆🏥
