  • KOB-TV recently combined forces with Nusenda Credit Union to help in the flood relief efforts for Ruidoso, NM. The KOB 4 Phone Bank center was staffed by Nusenda employees – taking donations for Ruidoso over the phone. Nusenda is also accepting donations at all of its 20+ branches in New Mexico and 4 in El Paso. In just two hours, the phone bank was able to raise more than $25,000!! This demonstrates the power of local television, and the generous spirit of KOB 4 viewers. Partnerships like these don’t just happen. All of that money will be managed by the Community Foundation of Lincoln County, the preferred relief distribution agency for Ruidoso ever since the fires swept through the village last summer. #Nusendacu #KOBTV #Floodrelief #LocalTV #Community #NewMexico

  • Friday was officially “retirement day” for KOBF and KOBR Station Manager Charlie Blanco. It was also the day the NMBA chose to recognize his selection to the New Mexico Broadcasters Association Hall of Fame, as part of a luncheon for NMBA sponsors, and their monthly board meeting. Charlie was also bestowed the honor of becoming a “lifetime” member of the NMBA board. For 25 years of dedicated leadership, we salute you, Charlie! Enjoy this next chapter in your life! Congratulations on your retirement, entrance into the NMBA Hall of Fame and on the lifelong membership honor with the New Mexico Broadcasters Association! #KOB4 #KOBF #KOBR #NWBA #Retirement #Halloffame

  • REELZ ANNOUNCES PUBLIC SERVICE INITIATIVE WITH THE NATIONAL CENTER FOR MISSING & EXPLOITED CHILDREN (NCMEC) (Albuquerque, NM) REELZ is proud to cosponsor an agreement with the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) designed to amplify NCMEC initiatives in support of the organization’s primary purpose of keeping children safe. The partnership with REELZ on the linear network and streaming, will include exclusive to REELZ, public service announcements (PSAs) that will air in all day parts and will be further promoted on social media channels of the two organizations. The National Center has been at the forefront of child safety for the past 40 years and their vital work has assisted in the recovery of thousands of missing children. The public service announcements will focus on the organization’s central mission fighting to protect children, creating vital resources for them and the people who keep them safe. NCMEC believes every child deserves a safe childhood. Since 1984, the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children® , a private non-profit organization, had led the fight to protect children by creating vital services for them and the people who keep them safe.
