At Guggenheim Investments, we are committed to supporting veterans as they transition from military service to the private sector through our Veterans Transition Assistance Program (VTAP). The VTAP internship enables veteran associates to accelerate their career transition by building new skills, gaining exposure to a dynamic corporate environment, and expanding their professional networks. This summer, we are proud to welcome nine veteran associates across our business units for a 10-week program. I had the privilege of meeting with our summer veteran associates in the New York City office, where I emphasized the critical role that mentorship and networking play in building a successful career. During our conversation, it was wonderful to hear the different perspectives that our veteran associates bring to the organization. While VTAP is designed to foster their professional growth, it is their unique perspectives and skills—shaped by their service—that truly enrich our firm.

The macro backdrop remains supportive for #fixedincome and credit. Our positioning continues to prioritize diversification with a high level of income generation. As credit curves have flattened, we prefer higher quality credit, particularly structured credit, where spreads remain wider relative to fundamental risk, and defensive assets like infrastructure, which have historically offered #inflation-linked income and downside resilience. As growth slows and policy uncertainty creates a wider range of economic outcomes, higher quality credit can offer attractive real yields and portfolio ballast to help buffer downside risks.
