  • Heard of microplastics, but not really sure what they are or how they affect you? You’re not alone. Based on our research with The 5 Gyres Institute, it turns out, 79% of Americans say microplastics are a crisis and 90% are concerned about them being found in the human body. This piece highlights how we need to move beyond plastic! Visit grove.co/microplastics to learn more.

  • 🌍 Today is World Conservation Day — and at Grove, we’re reminded of the powerful role we all play in protecting our planet. As a company rooted in environmental and human health, we believe every product choice, every habit, and every voice can make a difference – and add up to remarkable impact. * World Conservation Day was established to raise awareness about the urgent need to protect Earth and its biodiversity. It’s a reminder of our collective responsibility to maintain a healthy environment to ensure future generations inherit a world worth living in. * This day champions sustainable living, biodiversity protection, and responsible resource management. It promotes global cooperation to combat environmental degradation and climate change. From policy advocacy to individual action, it emphasizes that conservation is a shared mission — and one that begins with everyday choices. * We’re living in a pivotal moment: climate disruption, deforestation, ocean acidification, and species extinction are accelerating. The need for sustainable solutions isn’t just important — it’s existential. As the one-stop sustainable shop, Grove recognizes that conservation isn’t a once-a-year conversation. It’s the foundation of a healthier planet — and a healthier future. We are proud to work with The Nature Conservancy through a multi-year collaboration to support Indigenous-led conservation across two million acres in the world’s largest remaining coastal temperate rainforest. 🌱 Join us in honoring World Conservation Day by making one sustainable change today. Your action counts, whether it’s choosing plastic-free products, supporting reforestation, or learning how you can help TNC in preserving old-growth forests on our blog here: https://xmrrwallet.com/cmx.plnkd.in/gpSU86Pg

  • Microplastics are inside us all — and 90% of Americans are just as concerned as you are, with nearly 79% calling it a “human health crisis.” Yet, only 49% of Americans really know what microplastics are. We partnered with The 5 Gyres Institute to better understand what people really know — and want to know — about microplastics. The research is clear: there’s a gap in education, but a growing demand for action. We’re proud to not only share these insights and help lead the charge on plastic education, but also support organizations like The 5 Gyres Institute helping pave the way for new legislation like the recently introduced Microplastics Safety Act: a bill directing the FDA and HHS to more closely study and report on the health impacts of microplastics. 👉Learn more and take action yourself at grove.co/microplastics

  • We're proud to stand alongside 5 Gyres and other leaders in human and environmental health by supporting the newly introduced Microplastics Safety Act, a groundbreaking bill that calls for critical research and regulatory action to protect public health and our shared environment from microplastic pollution. At Grove, we’ve long championed a plastic-free future—and that future must include strong science-backed policy that addresses the pervasive threat of microplastics in our water, food, and bodies. We applaud the bipartisan effort of Senators Jeff Merkely (OR) and Rick Scott (FL) and Representatives Janelle Bynum (OR-5) and W. Gregory Steube (FL-17) for introducing this crucial legislation, and we call on Congress to prioritize the health of our communities and planet by supporting this bill. See below from our partners at The 5 Gyres Institute to read more and take action so we can build a #MicroplasticFreeUS together. 🌎💧

Microplastics are present throughout the human body, and our nation's leaders are taking notice. Today, Senators Jeff Merkely (OR) and Rick Scott (FL) and Representatives Janelle Bynum (OR-5) and W. Gregory Steube (FL-17) introduced legislation directing the FDA to study the human health impacts of microplastics in our food and water, including links to endocrine disruption, cancer, and reproductive disorders. This bipartisan introduction in both the Senate and the House marks a pivotal moment in plastics policy, as our elected officials come together across party lines to acknowledge a global problem that affects us all. Solutions begin with science, and we're proud that our nation's leaders are paving the way for a #MicroplasticFreeUS. • At Grove, our mission to transform consumer products into a force for human and environmental good doesn’t stop at our customers' doorsteps — it starts in our employees’ own homes. As a remote-hybrid team, it’s not always easy to practice what we preach. That’s why, during Wellness Month this past May, we partnered with the brilliant team at The 5 Gyres Institute to launch the GroveBlitz Home Audit — a company-wide challenge inviting Grove employees to take a closer look at their own household waste habits using the TrashBlitz community science tool. 🧼 🍫 🛍️ Over just a few weeks, Grove team members logged household items — and what we found was eye-opening: * 77% of the waste we tracked was plastic. * Nearly half came from food packaging alone. * Bags and beverage containers made up another 40%. * And the top culprits? Some of the most recognizable brands in food, personal care, and pet products. The good news? This audit revealed real opportunities for sustainable swaps — from bulk pantry items to refillable personal care and cleaning products (we might know a great place to find those 😉). It was also a chance to reconnect with our mission and each other in a hands-on, at-home way. Interested in doing your own challenge? The report is packed with practical takeaways and inspiration. Whether you're a business, a team, or an individual — there’s power in rethinking what we toss. 📄 See some details of the the report here and consider how your own team can go Beyond Plastic™

  • We are deeply saddened to share that Andrew Kassoy, the Co-Founder of B Lab and a driving force behind the global B Corp movement, passed away on June 22nd. Andrew’s passing is a profound loss—not only to those who knew him personally, but to all of us who believe in a more just, inclusive, and sustainable economy. Andrew’s legacy is immeasurable. He challenged the status quo, envisioning a new kind of global system—one where business is a force for good, and where all stakeholders—not just shareholders—have a voice. He reminded us that building a better world isn’t about growing an army of B Corps, but about nurturing a global movement rooted in equity, sustainability, and interdependence. As a Certified B Corp, Grove Collaborative—alongside nearly 10,000 B Corps around the world—is proud to live Andrew’s vision every day. We strive to meet the high standards he helped define, and hope to live up to the legacy he leaves behind. HIs clarity of purpose and belief in a “community of care” shaped the path for companies like ours and countless others committed to systemic change. His wisdom and courage lit the way, and now it is our collective responsibility to carry that light forward. In his honor, we invite you reflect on Andrew’s powerful message by watching this heartfelt tribute from his co-founders, Jay Coen Gilbert and Bart Houlahan: 🎥 Watch here on YouTube: https://xmrrwallet.com/cmx.plnkd.in/g_Z3HgUi As we remember Andrew, let’s each commit to living and leading more sustainably. Let’s build the future he imagined—together.

  • Since 1973, World Environment Day has been a global call to action to advocate for the planet we all share. This year, the message is clear: it’s time to end plastic pollution. In the U.S. alone, 76 million pounds of plastic are produced every day. Each of us contributes about 110 pounds of plastic per year, and it's not just harming the environment. Micro and nano-plastics have been found in nearly every part of the human body, making this crisis deeply personal to our health and well-being. As the world’s first plastic-neutral retailer, we’re proud to lead the charge Beyond Plastic, driving innovative sustainability initiatives and helping consumers make informed choices that reduce their plastic footprint. This World Environment Day, we encourage you to make one sustainable swap to reduce your plastic use. Every choice matters. When we act together, we move toward a future that’s not just livable but thriving. Join us to build a healthier, cleaner future for all: https://xmrrwallet.com/cmx.plnkd.in/gUEwre3
