When you walk into the Mill Creek Goodwill, you’re likely to be greeted by Aidan’s warm smile and upbeat energy. After initially working a production role behind the scenes, Aidan found his stride on the sales floor where he truly shines as a cashier. Thoughtful, detail-oriented, and always kind, Aidan is now one of the store’s top Round Up heroes, encouraging customers to support Goodwill’s mission with every transaction. Aidan says the key to his success is simple: “Smile and have a positive attitude.” Aidan’s story is a reminder that with the right opportunity and support, everyone can find their place to succeed. About us
Goodwill Northern New England is a nonprofit that invests in people who need support to achieve their work and life goals. We help people with and without barriers to successful employment – including disability, food or housing insecurity, mental illness, domestic violence, addiction and more – find meaningful employment and reach personal stability. Goodwill NNE revenue helps fund our workforce services, which support more than 10,000 people each year. Of course, our stores also embody our mission to support the Earth through re-use, while offering good jobs and work and life supports to all our teammates. Headquartered in Gorham, Maine, Goodwill NNE has a three-state service area comprised of Maine, New Hampshire and nine northern counties in Vermont. Goodwill NNE is more than *just* a store. We are good people doing good in our communities. Come work with us. We have a lot of fun. And we feel pretty good when we put our heads on the pillow at night.

In a time when both climate concerns and the cost of everyday essentials are top of mind, shopping secondhand is a smart, sustainable, and budget-friendly choice. The back-to-school season is fast approaching, and Goodwill offers an accessible place to shop for secondhand items like clothing, backpacks, college dorm necessities, and more. Choosing secondhand when possible supports a circular economy and helps keep materials out of landfills. Choosing Goodwill for those secondhand options also helps to give back to your community.
