This past Saturday, volunteers from our headquarters supported the Orange County Animal Care's monthly drive-thru pet food pantry. We sorted and packed pet food, managed traffic flow, and distributed the food, toys, treats and accessories. We also got to meet one of the shelter residents, Amazon! Each month, this event feeds over 1000 pets and aims to keeps pets at home vs. being returned to overcrowded shelters. At GLOVIS, we believe in supporting our community through our actions. Spending time at the shelter reminded us of the impact a few hours of care and compassion can have, not only on animals in need but on us as individuals and as a team.

This past weekend, volunteers from our headquarters in Irvine, CA, spent time with the North Orange County Surfrider Foundation. We helped clean up the a section of the Santa Ana River, which drains directly into the ocean. Collectively, with other volunteer groups, we picked up over 1800 pounds of trash! The Foundation records the amount of trash collected and uses the data to influence local, state and federal government authorities to create policies that support the beaches, oceans, coasts and climate. It was a lot of hard work, but rewarding to see how communities come together to do some good for our surrounding environment!

It was an honor to be a part of the American Red Cross Heroes Awards event today. We heard stories firsthand about ordinary individuals doing extraordinary acts. Our CEO had the privilege of presenting one of the awards to a gentleman who, after a life threatening accident, started hosting blood drives with his family. His efforts have provided countless patients with the gift of life. Inspired by the strength and spirit of our community, we're driven to do more. A couple of events today focused on our people: Port Hueneme site leadership cooked and served their team members tri-tip and burgers at an employee appreciation BBQ. They also celebrated their 1Q25 employees of the quarter. In our Irvine headquarters, senior leadership participated in a 'speed networking' event, which provided small groups an opportunity to engage in a dialogue about their leadership journeys, the current challenges and opportunities they face, career advice, and anything else of interest. The company looks forward to continuing employee engagement activities in the spirit of recognition, development and camaraderie!

This past weekend, team members from our headquarters in Irvine, CA, volunteered their time at the main campus of the Orange County Rescue Mission, which runs a life-transformation program that provides housing, basic needs and comprehensive services for individuals and families facing homelessness and joblessness.    We toured their campus and then got to work in their kitchen, café, and warehouse where we prepped food, cleaned the dining area and sorted/packed goods. It was a rewarding experience to work side by side with our colleagues, outside of the office, in support of our community!  

As we continue to witness the devastating impact of the fires in Southern California, it’s evident that many individuals, families, and communities are facing significant challenges. Our hearts go out to those impacted and our deepest gratitude is extended to the first responders who are working tirelessly to combat the fires.   In response, GLOVIS America donated $50,000 to the American Red Cross, which will assist in providing emergency aid, shelter, and resources to those who have been displaced or impacted by these fires. Additionally, we donated $50,000 to the Los Angeles Fire Department (LAFD) Foundation, which will equip LAFD members with the tools and supplies needed to battle the fires.    We recognize the importance of standing with our county neighbors during this challenging time and are inspired by seeing people, communities, companies, and organizations come together. Collectively, we can help bring hope and recovery to those who need it most.

We are delighted to share that Sergio Gutierrez has joined the GLOVIS America leadership team as our new Chief Operations Officer. With extensive experience in our industry, Sergio brings with him a wealth of leadership and operational excellence to the organization. He will be responsible for four key areas of our Finished Vehicle Business: Operations, Business Development, Facility & TP Capacity, and Network Growth/Reworking. Additionally, Sergio will lead all strategies and effectiveness for today and the future for our Finished Vehicle Business.  Congratulations, Sergio, on your new role and best wishes for success - we look forward to many achievements together!

In a continued effort to give back to our community, volunteers from our headquarters in Irvine, CA, spent a Saturday morning helping the OC Rescue Mission, whose purpose is to provide a life-transformation program to individuals and families facing homelessness and joblessness. They went to the OC Rescue Mission's Double R Ranch to landscape and remove fire hazardous material. Performing this chore on behalf of the program participants allowed them to focus more time on their development. Thank you to our volunteers for their time, support and elbow grease!
