Brookfield: Next decade will see 75GW of AI data centers built, total AI infrastructure spend to pass $7 trillion. Brookfield believes that $4tn will be spent on chips (including fabs and supply chains) and $2tn on AI data centers. $500bn will go to power & transmission, and another $500bn will go to broader tech such as dedicated fiber connectivity, cooling solutions, and robotics manufacturing. “AI is becoming commercial and functional in a greater number of use cases. More efficiency in AI is going to drive more demand for AI. We see very little chance of overbuilding at this point,” Connor Teskey president of Brookfield Asset Management, said. The company predicts that the installed base of GPUs will grow about sevenfold, from ~7 million in 2024 to 45 million by 2034. Those chips will increasingly be used for inference, with around 75 percent of future AI compute demand to come from inference by 2030. Much of this will occur in GPU-as-a-service companies, such as CoreWeave. “We project GPU-as-a-service to grow from about $30bn in 2025 to over $250bn by 2034 as companies, large and small, seek flexible, on-demand access to AI horsepower without the capex commitment.” Are you building your infrastructure team? Mission Critical should lean on the Oil & Gas Playbook In the last Oil & Gas boom, EPCs delivered multi-billion-dollar assets under tight timelines. They didn’t survive it by working harder. They built an execution model that could scale: ▪️ Industrialized planning and design standardization ▪️ Fully integrated engineering, procurement, and construction teams ▪️ Disciplined cost, quality, and safety frameworks embedded from day one The mission critical sector is now in its own boom cycle. Global data center demand will double by 2030, with 3,000+ new hyperscale builds coming. To meet the next decade’s demand, tried & tested oil & gas industrial methods should be adopted. ▪️ Standardize where possible, customize only where it adds real value ▪️ Co-locate decision-making so engineering, field, and supply chain move as one ▪️ Plan with the end in mind operations, upgrades, and long-term maintainability in from the start The projects are different. The stakes are arguably higher. The builders who thrive in this next chapter won’t just deliver speed they’ll deliver repeatable excellence at scale. #MissionCritical #DataCenterConstruction #ProjectExecution #IndustrialConstruction

Apple launched its $600B American Manufacturing Program (AMP) A sweeping effort to onshore its silicon supply chain and data center infrastructure. It includes: ▪️ 20,000 new U.S. hires ▪️ 19B+ chips made domestically in 2025 ▪️ A 250,000 sq ft Apple server factory in Houston ▪️ Data center expansions in NC, AZ, NV, IA & OR ▪️ Partnerships with TSMC, Texas Instruments, Samsung Semiconductor, GlobalFoundries, and Amkor Technology, Inc. Yesterday, President Trump announced ~100% tariffs on imported chips with exemptions for companies building in the U.S. No timeline shared, but backdated penalties were threatened for broken promises. Servers, silicon, and AI infrastructure are all going domestic and the demand for skilled construction partners is about to explode. Are you building out your Infrastructure team? Entergy to build $1.2bn 500kV transmission line to serve Meta mega data center in Louisiana. $1.2 billion investment: Entergy is constructing a 100-mile, 500 kV transmission line to serve Meta’s planned mega data center campus, known as Hyperion, in Richland Parish, northeast Louisiana. Accelerated timeline: The transmission project is slated to go online by December 2026, according to the 2025 MISO Transmission Plan—earlier than initially expected. Meta's data center scope: Hyperion is being built on a 2,250-acre site between Rayville and Delhi (about 30 miles east of Monroe), with up to nine buildings planned and phased completion expected through 2030 Supplementary infrastructure: The broader plan includes the construction of three combined-cycle combustion turbines totaling 2,260 MW, two new substations, six customer-owned substations, and eight additional 230 kV transmission lines. During its earnings call, Entergy’s CEO Drew March noted a robust pipeline of data center projects in the 5–10 GW range, prompting the utility to raise its four‑year capital expenditure forecast by $3 billion to support industrial and data center load growth. Hyundai Engineering & Construction Co.,Ltd. to deliver nuclear power to Fermi America 11GW AI campus in Amarillo, Texas. The project is being developed in conjunction with the Texas Tech University System. It is designed to be the world's largest, first-of-its kind private grid to power next-generation AI. The site spans 5,769 acres, with full build-out capacity expected to reach 11GW. Fermi aims to integrate a range of energy sources to power its HyperGrid campus, including, what it says will be “the largest nuclear power complex in America.” "We couldn't be more pleased to partner with the team at Hyundai E&C to power the future of AI," said Fermi America co-founder Toby Neugebauer. "We have been impressed by the executive team Fermi America has assembled, bringing together seasoned leaders in their respective fields," said Hyundai E&C CEO Hanwoo Lee. The company plans to install four 1GW Westinghouse AP1000 nuclear reactors on the site, and the nuclear complex could start construction next year and be completed by 2032. The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission is currently in the process of reviewing the application. Are you hiring for your infrastructure projects? Search Partner - 10 yrs in Power & Emerging Tech - Intrigued by AI, Data Centers and Crypto

🤘Austin, TX is quietly becoming one of the most strategic battlegrounds for the future of AI, Data Centers, Energy & Crypto. In the last 30 days: ⚡ Tesla announced a massive data center project at Giga Texas. 🔌 Amazon Web Services (AWS) is expanding its data center footprint. ⛏️ Riot Platforms, Inc. & Core Scientific are proving that #Bitcoin mining infrastructure is a powerful base layer for AI compute. Here’s what I’m seeing: 👊 Every hyperscaler is racing to secure land + power before everyone else. 👊 The line between “AI” and “energy” companies is blurring fast. 👊 Humans with a mix of power systems + digital infrastructure experience is going to be incredibly valuable in the next 12-24 months. If you’re building in this world, I’d love to connect. Let’s build the next era of infrastructure right here in Texas. Oliver D. Tom Watson James Howl-Newton Jason Hastie Matthew Tatum
