🌲 Homestead Oaks is a beautiful apartment community, but every place can use the occasional sprucing up. 👏 Thanks so much to the team of volunteers from KPMG US for spending their Community Impact Day at Homestead. From practically rebuilding the community garden, to re-staining the playground equipment, to helping reorganize the Learning Center, these volunteers worked really hard. 📣A huge thank you to our new partners, ePay Policy, for hosting an unforgettable supper club yesterday at Balcones Terrace! Not only did they treat everyone to delicious BBQ, but they also gave away four bikes to our residents. 🚲 One winner was so moved she was on the verge of tears. She said, "I don’t have to walk everywhere anymore. Now I can ride!" 💕We're so grateful for this incredible act of kindness and can't wait for our next event together!

🏆 We are honored to share that Foundation Communities, along with The City of Austin Housing Department and Austin Housing Finance Corporation (AHFC), have been awarded the prestigious Redevelopment Award of Excellence from the National Association of Local Housing Finance Agencies (NALHFA). 💕With this beautiful glass trophy, the organization recognized that Balcones Terrace is a model for delivering benefits to individuals facing various challenges through low-cost housing and innovative financing and design. It's the final day for our Back to School Drive, and thanks to the incredible generosity of our community, we've raised $88,000.
