  • Meet Alicia, Residential Supervisor at Evergreen!   Alicia provides direct care to students and maintains open communication with families, keeping them updated on their children's developmental milestones. She plays a key role in helping students achieve their residential IEP objectives, oversees her team, and ensures the Hopedale Unit operates efficiently and effectively.   Since becoming part of the Evergreen team over a decade ago, Alicia has built strong connections with many students and their families. One particularly meaningful relationship has been with a student she’s supported closely for the past seven years. As he approaches adulthood, Alicia’s guidance has been instrumental in his remarkable progress. Supporting his journey has brought Alicia back to her own teenage dreams of working with children. While his graduation will be an emotional moment, Alicia finds fulfillment in preparing students for the next stage of their lives—and she couldn’t be prouder!   Thank you, Alicia, for all you do in support of our students, families, and staff. We are proud to have you as a member of our Evergreen community! #Evergreen #MAAPS766 #GreatWork

  • As we celebrate #Juneteenth, we honor freedom, resilience, and the ongoing pursuit of justice. Juneteenth marks the day in 1865 when the last enslaved Black Americans in Galveston, Texas, learned of their freedom - over two years after the Emancipation Proclamation. Together, let’s reflect, learn, and commit to building a future of equality and inclusion. “Our lives begin to end the day we become silent about things that matter.” – Martin Luther King Jr.

  • Meet Sam, Agency Charge at Evergreen! Sam is approaching his 19-year milestone with Evergreen, having first joined our team back in 2007 as an instructor! Over the years, Sam has held numerous roles within Evergreen, having worked as a Weekend Supervisor before transitioning to Agency Charge in 2018. In his current role, Sam manages the scheduling of Evergreen staff to ensure that our students are receiving care and being supported around the clock. Making sure his team has the necessary resources to support their students is one of Sam’s favorite parts about his job! We’re grateful for our diverse and talented staff who join us from places near and far, and Sam’s story of finding Evergreen was one of coincidence – and a little bit of luck on our part! After moving to the east coast from Michigan, Sam first came to Evergreen at the suggestion of his friend, who worked at our school. Sam instantly applied for a job after feeling drawn to supporting individuals with developmental challenges, and he has been part of our team ever since! Throughout his time at Evergreen, Sam’s unwavering commitment to our students has never changed, always reminding his team that “whatever we do, it’s always for the kids.” Thank you, Sam, for all you do in support of our students, families and staff. We are proud to have you as a member of our Evergreen community! #Evergreen #MAAPS766 #GreatWork
