Our Sunnyside branch team was proud to support the John Wash PTA Backpack Drive. Giving back to local students as they head into the new school year is what community is all about!
About us
Educational Employees Credit Union (EECU) is the largest locally-based credit union in California’s central San Joaquin Valley, serving more than 373,000 members with over $4.6 billion in assets. We have 22 convenient branch locations in the San Joaquin Valley ranging from Porterville to the south and Merced to the north, as well as in Paso Robles on the Central Coast. EECU offers a full range of affordable financial products and services, including checking and savings accounts, loans, credit cards, mobile and online banking, and free financial education. As a not-for-profit financial cooperative, our profits are returned to our members in the form of lower rates on loans, higher rates on savings, and fewer fees. Our focus is on enhancing the member experience and we do so in a variety of ways, such as expanding our physical locations, advancing our online technologies, and adding new products and services designed to simplify our members’ lives and improve their financial well-being. We are very active in the communities we serve and we proudly support numerous programs, organizations, and events that enrich the community experience. We also provide free financial wellness education to people of all ages. Our members see us as their financial partner, not just their credit union. We listen to our members’ needs and provide tailor-made solutions to help them build a better financial future. That’s smarter banking.

We were excited to join Paso Robles Joint Unified School District's New Teacher Orientation and welcome more than 50 new teachers to the district! Our team handed out welcome packets and shared financial wellness tips to help set these educators up for success in and out of the classroom. Here's to a great school year ahead!

We’re proud to share that EECU’s innovative student branch model was featured at the national CUFEN Conference in Philadelphia! Christy Alkire, manager of our Clovis West High School student-run branch, highlighted how the program provides hands-on banking experience, career skills, and mentorship to students. Since 2016, more than 260 students have participated in the career pathway program and gained real-world experience that sets them up for success.
