  • Please join us in celebrating Emma Gulbranson on her 5 years of service with EAPC 🎉 Emma’s started at EAPC as a student intern, but her story with EAPC started long before - from childhood visits to the office, to following in her father’s architectural footsteps, EAPC has always felt like home. Since starting full-time in 2022, Emma has brought creativity, focus, and heart to every project and every team. She’s made significant contributions to a wide range of work in the K-12 and medical sectors, including the Grand Forks Senior Center, Northwood Deaconess, and safety upgrades for the Grand Forks Public Schools. Emma recently earned her CPTED credential, reinforcing her growing leadership in safety and security design. Casey Hutton, her manager, states that Emma’s learning curve has been remarkably fast, that she’s already stepping into both design and project management roles with ease. She’s also a key part of building our culture across offices, staying active in events and activities no matter where she’s working. Congrats, Emma! We’re grateful for the last five years, and looking forward to many more. #WorkAnniversary #ArchitectureCareers #TeamEAPC #WomenInArchitecture #DesignLeadership

This multi-year, multi-phase project, is transforming the region’s surgical care capabilities. Phase 1 on track to wrap in winter/spring of 2026, and Phase 2 extending through fall 2027. Designed to serve the growing needs of northwestern South Dakota and eastern Wyoming, the expansion includes a future-focused infrastructure system and: - Six new ORs and 22 ICU/med-surg rooms - Upgraded sterile processing - Expanded dining and staff amenities Careful attention to energy efficiency, patient flow, and clinical safety is guiding every decision on this project. From ceiling-mounted patient transfer lifts to fuel-source modernization. Despite record rainfall, site constraints, and the need to keep the hospital operational throughout, the project team has demonstrated incredible flexibility and collaboration. From phased demolition, to installing a temporary skywalk with micropile foundations, and coordinating through a 20-foot corridor using South Dakota’s largest crane, this has been a study in resilience. It's been a pleasure to partner with Scull Construction Service, Inc, Renner Associates, LLC, Albertson Engineering Inc., and Rippe Associates, Inc. on this project. All of have demonstrated a continued commitment to delivering a healthcare facility that puts patients, staff, and community first. • Celebrating 20 Years | Jerry Vaughn - Senior Mechanical Designer Jerry began his journey with EAPC in 2005 when our Bemidji office was formed, continuing his already 18-year career in the same community he proudly calls home. From designing complex geothermal systems at Minnkota Power Campus to mentoring junior team members, his impact spans generations and disciplines. For two decades, Jerry has been a cornerstone of our Mechanical Engineering team. Not only bringing deep technical knowledge but also mentorship, leadership, and genuine care to every project and person he encounters! His manager Anthony says, “Jerry’s fingerprints are on some of our most impactful work. His calm professionalism, sharp coordination skills, and thoughtful mentorship elevate everyone around him.” Whether he’s leading a design review, winning a costume contest with his wife, or (good-naturedly) being called a “sucky” golfer by CEO, Jim Tyler, Jerry brings a spirit of excellence and humor that reminds us why culture matters. Thank you, Jerry, for 20 years of outstanding work and unwavering dedication to our team and clients! #EAPCAnniversary #20YearsStrong #MechanicalEngineering #WorkAnniversary #TeamSpotlight #EAPCBemidji

  • Senior Interior Designer at EAPC, Mary Parker, spent time last week mentoring and connecting with Native youth at the Indigenous Design Camp, hosted by Dunwoody College of Technology. It was a great opportunity to teach them about Architecture, Interior Design, and Landscape Architecture. Thank you, Mary, for investing time, knowledge, and heart into the next generation of Native designers. #IndigenousDesign #ThankYouMentors #NativeYouth #RepresentationMatters #DesignEducation #DiversityInDesign #LiftWhileYouClimb #IndigenousExcellence

Senior Interior Designer at EAPC Architects Engineers

Chi Miigwech to Sam Olbekson, AIA, NCARB, AICAE, NOMA; Jessica Garcia Fritz; Michael Laverdure; and Trevor Bullen for founding Indigenous Design Camp and for the opportunity to be a part of it. Hosted at Dunwoody, this week-long camp introduces Native youth to the fields of Architecture, Interior Design, and Landscape Architecture—careers that are often unfamiliar or inaccessible to many Indigenous students. With fewer than 400 Registered Native American Architects in the U.S., the need to cultivate awareness and pathways into these professions is urgent and important. This year's camp featured: 🔹 A group model project: “At Home in the Homelands” 🔹 Site visits to the Minneapolis American Indian Center and Red Lake College 🔹 A surprise visit from Lt. Governor Peggy Flanagan I’m incredibly proud to support this work and deeply inspired by the next generation of Native designers. I truly love what I do, and I can’t wait to see how Indigenous Design Camp continues to grow. Look for us next year! 🌱🏠🎨 #IndigenousDesign #ArchitectureMatters #NativeYouth #RepresentationMatters #IndigenousExcellence #STEM #DesignEducation #DiversityInDesign#LiftWhileYouClimb

  • Celebrating 20 Years – Tyler Coulombe, PE | Department Lead & Mechanical Engineer 🎉 Join us in celebrating Tyler Coulombe’s 20-year anniversary at EAPC! Tyler began his journey when EAPC acquired Haack Engineering, and over the past two decades, he’s grown from a mechanical designer into a respected department lead, project engineer, and a pillar of mentorship within the firm. “I enjoy my job and the different projects I get to be a part of - especially healthcare work that gives back to the communities we serve. The variety keeps me engaged, and that’s what’s kept me here," says Tyler. From pulling off an unforgettable ceiling prank 🪜 (yes, it involved a desktop fountain!) to leading QA/QC efforts on complex projects, Tyler’s impact goes far beyond engineering. His Manager, Anthony Corcoran says, “Tyler has been more than a department lead - he’s been a mentor, a steady hand in complex projects, and a trusted voice across our teams. His calm, thoughtful approach and technical expertise have shaped the culture and success of our Fargo office and beyond.” 👏 Tyler, thank you for two decades of dedication, leadership, and integrity. Here's to many more! #EAPCAnniversary #TeamEAPC #MechanicalEngineering #20YearsStrong #Leadership #MentorshipMatters

  • 🏓 The EAPC Sioux Falls team took a well-deserved break to enjoy some friendly competition at Remedy Brewing - with a few rounds of Pickleball, of course! The championship match came down to Chief Strategy Officer Leap Chear, AIA, LEED AP, NCARB and CEO, Jim Tyler, with Leap taking home the 1st place win. After the games wrapped up and the skies turned gray, the team headed back to the new office space for an indoor picnic with their families. Great competition, great company, and a great way to unwind! #TeamEAPC #PickleballChallenge #WorkHardPlayHard #OfficeFun

  • 🎉 Celebrating 20 Years of Leadership with Cory Vaughn, CFO 🎉 Please join us in congratulating Cory on 20 years at EAPC! Cory came to EAPC through the acquisition of Haack Engineering and quickly embraced the opportunity to be part of an integrated firm all under one roof. Over the years, he’s contributed to some of our most significant projects and continues to bring clarity and innovation to our financial operations and industrial services. Cory shares: “There have been several fun and complex projects I’ve worked on over the years, but I’m always drawn to the diversity and challenges in our industrial work. It keeps us sharp and adaptable. Our ability to provide a meaningful product within the AE industry continues to motivate me.” From Hawaiian shirt Fridays 🌺 to Fun Committee events 🎉, Cory has always been a proud contributor to our culture.
