🌟 June 12 is Women Veterans Recognition Day. 🫡 Women Veterans Recognition Day commemorates the signing of the Women’s Armed Services Integration Act of 1948, which granted women the right to permanently serve in the Armed Forces. Today is a poignant reminder that women have long fought for the right to serve in the military. It is also a day to honor the service of women Veterans. We are especially proud of the women Veterans who work at DIS, and the important work we are privileged to do for women Veterans, especially at VA’s Office of Women’s Health.
