About us

Digitability is an award-winning pre-employment and transition program that teaches a combination of digital literacy and work-ready skills to students with cognitive disabilities like autism. Featured on CNET, MSNBC, TechCrunch, WHYY, NewsWorks and in the founder's Tedx Talk on empathy, Digitability is solving a growing crisis of preparing people with disabilities for today's tech-driven workforce as well as our highly social economy. Digitability was named winner of the University of Pennsylvania’s Graduate School of Education’s, Educational Services of America Prize, the Philadelphia’s Geek Award’s Best Startup of the Year, The Corzo Center for the Creative Economy Award, and appeared on the cover of Philadelphia Magazine as one of the Coolest Startups of the year for the company's innovation in special education. Digitability is serving as a catalyst of an innovative approach to cognitive and social development for this generation of adolescents with disabilities like autism and those who come thereafter. • You’re teaching life skills… but are you teaching the ones students actually use after graduation? Here are 4 essential (but often overlooked) skills every student needs: 1️⃣ Online Banking – Students should know how to check balances, transfer money, and avoid overdraft fees. 2️⃣ Sending Professional Emails – From job applications to self-advocacy, clear and respectful communication is key. 3️⃣ Internet Safety – Help students spot scams and protect personal information. 4️⃣ Using Google Calendar – Build independence with routines, reminders, and time management tools. Digitability’s curriculum teaches ALL of this (and more) through real-world projects and simulations. Want to see how it works? Head to digitability.com to learn more.

  • Teachers! Are you tired of repeating directions 47 times a day? There’s a proven way to change that. Positive Narration is an evidence-based strategy that reinforces expectations, boosts engagement, and minimizes disruptions. The best part? It’s seamlessly embedded in every Digitability lesson. Teachers using Digitability say it reduces behavior issues and builds student confidence—all while supporting communication and executive functioning. • This back-to-school mistake sets the tone for the entire year… and most teachers don’t even realize they’re doing it. Jumping into academics before teaching classroom routines, communication expectations, and self-regulation strategies can lead to behavior challenges that spiral all year long. That's why Digitability wants to help you by giving you a list of several classroom expectations and procedures you should cover before diving into academic content. Establishing expectations and learning routines FIRST sets your classroom up for success from the beginning. Want a smoother year? Start with structure. Start with Digitability. 👉 Visit https://xmrrwallet.com/cmx.plnkd.in/eRF9Ncch to grab your free checklist!

  • You're not alone if you've ever felt overwhelmed by progress monitoring — we’ve all been there! Here are our top 3 tips to make tracking student growth more manageable: 1️⃣ Break it down. Focus on one IEP goal or skill area at a time to avoid data overload. 2️⃣ Build it into your routine. Collect data during naturally occurring classroom activities — not just during formal assessments. 3️⃣ Use the right tools. Digitability’s built-in data tracking system makes it easy to monitor progress across multiple levels of learning — all in one place. Want to simplify your progress monitoring? • Want more positive student behavior? Narrate it! ✨ Positive narration is a game-changer in the classroom. Instead of focusing on what isn’t happening, highlight what is going well. 💬 ✅ “I see Marcus has his materials out and is ready to learn.” ✅ “Jasmine is showing leadership by helping her group stay on task.” By noticing and naming the behavior you want to see, you create a ripple effect of positivity and engagement. Ready to build a more supportive classroom culture? Head to https://xmrrwallet.com/cmx.plnkd.in/gS9jevVY to learn more evidence-based strategies!
