We all make mistakes. Every mistake creates an opportunity to learn. Here’s a list of common career mistakes that just may prevent your next “oops:” 1. Not proof reading your emails. 2. Not asking for help when you need it. 3. Not standing up for yourself and your value. 4. Not respecting all your peers…whether they report to you or you report to them. 5. Not pushing yourself beyond the bare minimum. 6. Not being on time consistently. 7. Not taking time to educate yourself to be a stronger contributor. 8. Not thanking those who support you. 9. Not owning your mistakes and showing some vulnerability. 10. Not making an effort to connect with your team. The truth is, you can't learn anything from a mistake until you admit that you've made it. So, embrace your mistakes. And find the silver lining. At least you learned a lesson.

What’s your ultimate comfort movie or show? 📺 My first comfort show was Friends. It’s what I would fall asleep to. Over time, my comfort show lineup has grown to include The Office, Parks and Rec, New Girl, and Schitt’s Creek. They’re my go-to shows for falling asleep or for when life feels a little too stressful. 2. How do you stay up-to-date on industry trends? 📰 Reading articles, tuning into podcasts and webinars, but honestly, nothing beats talking to the people actually doing the work. The best way to understand what’s really happening in the industry is hearing it straight from the candidates! 3. What does “winning together” mean to you? 🤝 I’ve always felt deeply invested in each member of our team and the overall health of the company. We all celebrate each other’s wins and the company’s wins because when one of us succeeds, we all do. CS does a great job of making everyone feel that it’s truly a team effort.
