GOAL: Improve Care for ONE Billion.... Over the last two decades - as a surgeon, public health scientist, and educator - I’ve seen firsthand how hard it can be for patients, no matter where they live, to access the care they deserve. Whether in Boston or Badin, geography and income too often shape health outcomes. And I’ve come to believe that real, lasting impact requires new tools, fresh thinking, and innovative ways of delivering care. That’s why a group of like-minded colleagues and I came together to reimagine what accessible, intelligent, and compassionate healthcare could look like at scale. Today, after more than a year of work, I’m humbled to officially introduce Boston Health AI - a mission-driven health tech company - and our first product: Hami, the world’s first AI-powered physician assistant for end-to-end patient care. Hami was built with a simple goal: giving physicians more time to think, listen, and care. By automating administrative tasks, intelligently analyzing labs and diagnostics, and generating evidence-based insights, Hami lets doctors focus on what they do best—healing patients. As an autonomous Physician Assistant, it significantly expands healthcare access, allowing us to treat more patients while making our lives easier. None of this would be possible without an incredible team of medical professionals, computer scientists, engineers, and forward-thinking collaborators - including our partners at the U.S.-based venture studio, C10 Labs where Boston Health AI was incubated, and Systems Limited, an incredibly innovative global systems integrator. We begin in Pakistan - where the healthcare needs are urgent, but so is the potential to lead. We believe in technology with purpose. It's about the belief that AI, when built ethically and collaboratively, can strengthen health systems, support overburdened clinicians, and help us reach our goal of improving care for 1 billion people worldwide. As I often say to our team: "AI won’t replace physicians. But physicians who don’t use AI will be replaced by those who do." To my colleagues, peers, and friends in medicine, tech and policy: I welcome your thoughts, partnerships and guidance. To the Healthcare community: this is just the beginning. We believe the future of care is intelligent, inclusive and human-centered, and we’re committed to building it. Looking forward to sharing more in the coming weeks and shaping the future of healthcare together. 🔗 www.bostonhealth.ai #HealthTech #Hami #HealthcareForAll #GlobalHealthEquity #AIWithPurpose #BostonHealthAI Systems Limited Asif Peer Amer Haider Shahid Azim Raghib Hussain Beth Porter Hassan Khan Niazi, MBBS

"Define your problem and put an engineering frame on it: what is your goal, what are your costs, what are the outputs? Then, find the best possible tool to hit those specs. We built LatchBio because we want to have an impact on the pace of discovery and the pace of progress in the field of biology." Thanks to Kenny Workman for talking to our AI BioHub teams, who shared how #AI and #biotech startups can streamline their workflows using LatchBio’s platform. Key takeaways for our ventures: - How to curate and structure experimental data efficiently - How to train models and convene data without managing backend infrastructure - How to visualize results through clean, impactful dashboards - The value of getting this right on Day 1 Kenny’s insights gave our founders real tools to not only move faster, but also collaborate better to communicate data at the next level. Big thanks to Kenny from LatchBio for empowering the next generation of biotech innovators with C10 Labs and LabCentral! Beth Porter Shahid Azim Patricia Geli David Berlin Zainab P. 🚀 We’re excited to share that KiraGen Bio has been selected to join the inaugural AI BioHub Program from C10 Labs and LabCentral, right in the heart of Kendall Square. This new center of excellence was created to support AI-native biotech startups tackling some of the most complex challenges in human health—backed by a $1.9M grant from the Massachusetts Technology Collaborative. We’re honored to be among the first companies chosen to participate. At KiraGen, we’re focused on developing multiplex-edited CAR-T cell therapies that resist solid tumor suppression—starting with glioblastoma. Our AI-driven platform, KiraLOGIC, helps guide the selection of gene edits to overcome the tumor microenvironment and improve therapeutic durability. Being part of the AI BioHub means we’ll now have access to: 💻 Integrated AI infrastructure + cutting-edge wet lab space 🤝 A curated community of like-minded biotech entrepreneurs 📈 Technical support and entrepreneurship programming to accelerate product development We’re incredibly grateful to the entire teams at LabCentral and C10 Labs—with special thanks to Maggie O'Toole, Beth Porter, David Berlin, Lyndsey Rissin, Patricia Geli, and Shahid Azim—for making this visionary program a reality. We’re excited to collaborate, build, and grow alongside the rest of the cohort as we continue working to bring next-generation cell therapies to patients who need them most. 🔗 Read the full announcement: https://xmrrwallet.com/cmx.plnkd.in/etDq4Eu2 #KiraGenBio #AIBio #TechBio #CellTherapy #GeneEditing #SolidTumors #C10Labs #LabCentral #Biotech #Innovation #MassTech #VentureStudio

Ai + Bio; An AI-designed drug just passed a clinical trial. Clinical validation, unprecedented speed, and a complete rethink of discovery models—all against the backdrop of global competition—make this one of the most consequential intersections in AI today. Rentosertib, developed using generative AI, just completed a successful Phase IIa trial for pulmonary fibrosis. Published in Nature Medicine (June 2025), it’s the clearest signal yet: AI isn’t just accelerating discovery—it’s delivering validated drugs. At MIT, the SPARROW algorithm compresses what used to take weeks of expert analysis into a single afternoon. Clinical timelines are collapsing—from 10+ years to 2–4. Pharma AI funding is up over 300%, reaching $14B. Small teams are doing in days what used to take months—simulating entire cellular systems and exploring chemical space at scale. . But this isn’t just about speed or automation. The next frontier is bringing functional human-response data into development earlier—so models don’t just find targets, they predict real-world outcomes. That gap is the missing link behind over 90% of failures in today’s drug pipelines. This ability to decode life itself is no longer science fiction and is the key to engineering these breakthroughs at scale. The most consequential breakthroughs will happen at this intersection. Manolis Kellis’s lab at MIT recently published a major update on how we interpret disease-associated regions using integrative epigenomics—showing how computational biology can decode complex, real-world biology with precision and rigor. This shift is also changing how biotech companies are built. The best teams aren’t chasing one drug—they’re building discovery engines. At C10 Labs, through our AI Bio Hub with Lab Central and Mass Tech, we expect founders raise faster, hit milestones sooner, and rethink what a biotech startup can be. The U.S. still leads in core science and talent—but that edge won’t hold unless we keep investing in translational infrastructure and the people turning lab work into global health solutions. Building AI Corridors that accelerate the translation and commercialization will be key and is a big part of what we are building in our company. The next generation of medicines won’t be discovered. They’ll be designed.
