I get asked a lot about my predictions on the streaming market and how there will be room for everyone to thrive, including the scaled general entertainment offerings as well as the targeted specialty players. My answer is simple – cooperation. Exploring new and sometimes unconventional ways of working together, with the recognition that this is not a zero-sum game, is a step towards ensuring that all participants in this market play a role in delighting our collective customers, who will inevitably consume content from many sources. That’s why I am delighted to share that starting tomorrow, for the first time, BritBox and Warner Bros. Discovery will launch a programming pop-up on HBO Max featuring a curated sampling of 15 BritBox series. This is a unique opportunity for BritBox to showcase the depth, breadth, and craft of British television - especially in the mystery, crime, drama, and comedy genres - with an audience who truly appreciates premium TV. It is refreshing to work with partners who share our openness to experiment with new models and can see a future where we can all be successful together!

I probably shouldn’t be surprised at this point, but it is still so fun to see pop culture paying attention to what we are building at BritBox. Last year it was The Simpsons and now in the recent Family Guy episode, Karenheit 451, BritBox makes another animated appearance. Like Family Guy, we are not trying to be something for everyone, and having a genuine identity in the vast streaming marketplace is our competitive advantage. Audiences continue to discover that compelling content originates from outside of the traditional Hollywood system, and BritBox is riding tremendous tailwinds of a broader appreciation for international, and specifically British, television. Thanks to Fox Entertainment, 20th Television Animation, Fuzzy Door, and Joe Swanson for your appreciation of the eight-part murder mystery in a coastal British town.

I had a wonderful time at Banff World Media Festival this week, joining Michael Schneider from Variety and Lawrence Szabo for a spotlight session on BritBox and BBC Studios. BritBox momentum is building and it was great to share more about our evolving content strategy in North America and the ways we work with BBC Studios and other partners. Thanks to everyone who joined us - it was meaningful connecting with so many industry peers in such a spectacular setting. ✨ A beautiful night of glamour and celebration at the 2025 Tribeca Festival ✨ Last night, BritBox hosted the world premiere of new series OUTRAGEOUS at Tribeca Film Festival in New York City. The evening kicked off with introductions by Tribeca Senior Programmer Liza Domnitz and BritBox President Robert Schildhouse, followed by an exclusive screening of the first two episodes of the captivating new drama about the infamous Mitford sisters. After the screening, Air Mail’s Co-Editor Alessandra Stanley led an insightful conversation with stars Joanna Vanderham, Zoe Brough, and Shannon Watson, alongside creator/writer Sarah Williams and executive producer Matthew Mosley. The celebration continued at The Twenty Two New York, with an elegant and lively afterparty in partnership with Air Mail. Guests sipped on themed cocktails like “A Proper Scandal” and “Swinbrook Swig,” enjoyed live jazz from the Hot Sardines, and were treated to whimsical activations including napkin portrait sketches and custom Mitford-inspired poetry.
