Join us January 13-15 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Registration and hotel booking are open, and preparations are underway for what is expected to be the best celebration and community event yet. If you’re living with upper limb loss, Georgia Institute of Technology researchers want to hear from you. They’re conducting a quick, 10-minute online survey to better understand how people use their prostheses in daily life. Your insights can help shape future innovations in prosthetic design and support. The survey is open to U.S. residents aged 18 and older with upper limb loss. No compensation is offered, but your participation contributes to meaningful research. Take the survey here: https://xmrrwallet.com/cmx.pokt.to/t5Ofak For more details, visit the Amputee Coalition’s Volunteer Research Opportunities page: https://xmrrwallet.com/cmx.pokt.to/N9BCjh #AmputeeCoalition #LimbLoss #LimbDifference #NoAmputeeAlone #AmputeeStrong #ResearchOpportunity

Connection is at the heart of the Paddy Rossbach Youth Engagement Program (YEP) Camp. All week long, youth with limb loss and limb difference came together—bonding through every moment, supporting one another, and reminding us why this space is so meaningful. Camp may be over, but the memories, connections, and joy will last a lifetime. 🧡 This week, campers, Leaders in Training, and counselors gathered at Camp Aranzazu for the Paddy Rossbach Youth Engagement Program (YEP) Camp — a space for youth with limb loss and limb difference to connect, grow, and learn new skills. From early morning yoga by the bay and action-packed games, to swim clinics, art projects, talent shows, and heartfelt Limb Chats — every moment reminded us of the power of community and inclusion. A huge thank-you to our volunteers, staff, and partners who made this experience possible. We can’t wait for next year! #AmputeeCoalition #LimbLoss #LimbDifference #YouthEmpowerment #SoEveryBODYCanMove #YouthCamp #YEP

Amputee Coalition reposted this
Following our "Real People. Real Impact." Congressional Briefing, advocates from the Reeve Foundation and the Amputee Coalition joined the ADA35 National Rally just outside the U.S. Capitol, hosted by the National Council on Independent Living (NCIL). With our partners at the American Association of People with Disabilities (AAPD), we united to demand the freedom to live independently in our communities. Advocates once again shared their personal stories about the impact of the Paralysis Resource Center (PRC) and the Limb Loss Resource Center (LLRC), reinforcing why these federally funded programs must be protected. Thank you to NCIL for giving our advocates the opportunity at this historic rally. Even some elected officials stopped by to show their support! Use your voice and tell Congress to fully preserve and fund the vital federal programs that promote independence, belonging, and full participation for people with disabilities in every community across the country. Thank you, Maggie Baumer, JD, for your constant support and partnership, and for attending last week's Congressional Briefing for the Limb Loss Resource Center and Paralysis Resource Center, jointly held by the Amputee Coalition and Christopher & Dana Reeve Foundation. And I couldn't agree more about the tremendous success of the National Association for the Advancement of Orthotics and Prosthetics Congressional fly-in. What a wonderful week of advocacy and collaboration!
Leader of Enterprise Patient Advocacy at Hanger Clinic: Advocating for improved policy and access to care for people with limb loss, limb difference and orthotics users. EMBA Candidate
Last week I had the honor of attending the first ever in-person Congressional fly-in hosted by the National Association for the Advancement of Orthotics and Prosthetics with support from the incredible team at OPGA (Orthotic Prosthetic Group of America). There were a total of 33 O&P professionals, advocates, and leaders attending meetings on Capitol Hill to discuss key issues like the Medicare O&P Patient-Centered Care Act, H.R. 4475, along with O&P research, and access to Anti-Obesity Medications for the limb loss and limb difference community. In total, we attended over 60 meetings with members of Congress and staff to talk about the future of O&P care. I also attended an impactful briefing hosted by the Christopher & Dana Reeve Foundation and the Amputee Coalition discussing the vital services of the Paralysis Resource Center and the Limb Loss Resource Center. We continue to advocate for the preservation of these lifechanging services. You can share your story of how these resources benefitted you, raise awareness, and contact your legislators to ensure continued funding and support. Thank you to NAAOP, the AC and all of our colleagues advocating for the limb loss and limb difference community and professionals in O&P. Our momentum is strong and our voices are being heard! #NAAOP #AmputeeCoalition #AOPA #ABC #BOC #NCOPE #AAOP
