Children explore seasonal fruits, vegetables, and plants while teachers incorporate science, technology, engineering, and math activities, cataloguing produce, plants, rocks, and trees in their Native language. The program also addresses food insecurity through a smokehouse and canning station where families can safely preserve wild game and berries for the long arctic winter. ACF Acting Assistant Secretary (AAS) Gradison and Deputy Assistant Secretary Verno joined Mississippi Attorney General (AG) Lynn Fitch for Operation Guardian Force, a 2-week, statewide law enforcement effort that resulted in 72 arrests, and the recovery of 29 human trafficking victims. ACF is part of a whole of government response to trafficking that ensures the health and wellbeing of victims. This work is part of a broad interagency effort coordinated by the President's Interagency Task Force (PITF) to Monitor and Combat Trafficking in Persons. “The Trump Administration will partner with anyone who will join us in the fight against human trafficking.
