A renowned Mexican American fashion designer, Chavarria’s work draws deeply from Chicano and queer culture, shaped by his family’s immigrant roots and his upbringing in a California farming town. He uses his art and activism to boldly challenge discrimination and inequality faced by queer people, immigrants, and beyond.
