Serving a population equivalent of 2.4 million Ringsend Wastewater Treatment Plant treats 40% of all the wastewater produced in Ireland. Since 2021 Murphy has completed several major projects for Uisce Éireann Irish Water as part of the Ringsend Wastewater Treatment Plant Upgrade Programme. Our work at Ringsend WWTP began with the design and build of a Phosphorous Fixation Facility, the first of its kind in Ireland and the largest in Europe. This facility is now operating, taking phosphorous from wastewater and transforming it into a product used as fertilizer in agriculture. This advance treatment process also means that the final effluent now discharged into Dublin Bay is of the highest quality. Murphy continues to operate and maintain this facility for Uisce Éireann. We have also delivered the Sludge Line Enhancement project at Ringsend, to increase the capacity and resilience of the advanced anaerobic digestion plant. Designed for an average throughput of 55,000 TDS/annum this ensures that sludge processing at Ringsend meets the highest standards of sustainability through the production of a high quality biosolid suitable for reuse in agriculture and maximising the generation of renewable biogas. Currently, our team on the Sequencing Batch Reactors (SBR) Retrofit Hybrid 2 project are also making significant progress. This project consists of the delivery, installation, and implementation of replacements and upgrades to the existing elements of the Sequencing Batch Reactors and associated civils works. The improvements made by this work will modernise the functionality of these reactors and provide robustness into the future. Each element of our work on this major upgrade programme at Ringsend WWTP has been led by innovation, thanks to our in-house BIM team, who have built 3D and 4D live project models, enabling bi-weekly live model sharing, walkthroughs and risk mitigation amongst many other benefits. #OneMurphy #water #MoreToMurphy #Infrastructure #Ireland #innovation

Murphy has stepped up and into Jobstown Boxing Club's corner, by committing to sponsor the club. Jobstown Boxing Club has become renowned for the positive impact it has in getting and keeping children and young people from this locality engaged in sport. Over the next few months, the club will install a larger training shed and an Olympic-sized boxing ring to assist their four young Olympic hopefuls- Adam Olaniyan, Josh Olaniyan, Tiffany Spencer and Brandon Geoghegan. Murphy is committed to leaving a positive legacy in the areas where we work. Over the last few years, we have completed a number of important infrastructure projects for South Dublin County Council, most recently the Airton Road Extension Scheme, which opened at the end of June. We also opened our Dublin office in Cookstown, Co. Dublin last year. #moretomurphy #onemurphy #givingback #community #socialvalue South Dublin County Council

Over the last few weeks, colleagues working on The Transpennine Route Upgrade (TRU) have been hard at work completing several impressive milestones across five consecutive weekends of critical work between Leeds and York. The works, which will support the electrification of the railway, have included: Installing 7.5km of wiring between Micklefield and Church Fenton, following overhead line equipment (OLE) mast installation earlier in the year. Safely demolishing and replacing Station Road bridge in Cross Gates so that more OLE can be installed throughout the area. Renewing around 750m of track between Killingbeck and Cross Gates, which will support smoother, more reliable travel, in addition to installing a new track crossover. You can read more about how these upgrades will help unlock faster, greener journeys in the future by clicking here: https://xmrrwallet.com/cmx.plnkd.in/emMDp5ZU #OneMurphy #TranspennineRouteUpgrade #TRU #OnTrackToBetter TRU East Alliance Network Rail Siemens SYSTRA VolkerRail Ltd
