Packer Fastener is on the hunt for a driven, energetic team player to join our Kansas City sales team! This is a dynamic role where you’ll gain hands-on experience across multiple areas of sale including both inside and outside sale while building strong relationships with current and future customers.

If you’re passionate about sales, love connecting with people, and have 1-2 years of sales experience (or a strong interest in getting started), this could be the perfect opportunity for you. You’ll start by supporting our Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) accounts and assisting with various branch sales activities giving you the chance to learn, grow, and find your niche in the areas that excites you most.

What You’ll Need

  • A valid driver’s license and clean driving record
  • Eligibility for coverage under our company’s auto insurance (per our Driver Safety Policy)

Position Details

  • Full-time, First Shift.
  • Monday-Friday schedule (your evenings and weekends are yours!)
  • Gain experience in contractor sales, inside sales, outside sales vendor managed inventory, etc.

  • Knowledge of product line and pricing
  • Must have the ability to close on leads prospected
  • Ability to calculate figures such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Reasoning ability to solve practical problems
  • Time management skills and the ability to multi-task
  • A well-organized team player who can relate to employees in all departments of organization
  • Proficient in common computer software including MS Office and database software
  • Valid driver’s license
