Four talented leather artisans from the E4Impact Accelerator Program touched down in Italy, bringing with them the rich essence of Kenyan culture and creative energy woven into every design. On July 13th, the iconic Piazza del Plebiscito in Ancona transformed into a vibrant runway for '𝐂𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐧𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬,' a fashion show celebrating the fusion of Italian design and Kenyan craftsmanship, where fashion served as a bridge between two cultures. The showcase centered on an Italian-inspired, Kenyan-crafted bags collection, the remarkable result of a collaboration between students from the Accademia di Belle Arti e Design - Poliarte and eight visionary artisans from the E4Impact Entrepreneurship Center, Kenya. Four of these artisans, KISERO NAIROBI, Ilonito Designer Collections LTD, Zanta Adeyde and Blueberry Leather proudly represented their peers on this global stage. This was more than a fashion show, it was living proof of what becomes possible when creativity transcends borders. Immense gratitude to the incredible partners who made this possible: Italian Agency for Development Cooperation - Nairobi Office Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore, and UNIDO for their continued support for the creative sector, creating a lasting impact. That "million-dollar idea" in your head? It's worth exactly $0 until you can convince someone else it's worth a million dollars. Here's the uncomfortable truth most entrepreneurs don't want to hear: Having a groundbreaking product or service is only 20% of the battle. The other 80%? Learning how to package, present, and pitch your vision in a way that makes investors reach for their checkbooks. Cohort 5 of the E4Impact Accelerator Program kicked off a three-day investor readiness training yesterday. They’re learning that being investor-ready isn’t optional, it’s essential. By the end of the training, they will have mastered the language of money, bulletproofed their pitch, gained actionable financial literacy insights, learned how to navigate the due diligence process, and developed the skills to negotiate like a pro. Through the accelerator Program, the entrepreneurs are empowered to close rounds, scale fast, and maintain control of their vision through investor-readiness. Drop a 💪 if you're committed to levelling up your funding game! #EntrepreneurLife #InvestorReadiness #StartupFunding #PitchPerfect #BusinessGrowth #VentureCapital #StartupSuccess #EntrepreneurMindset Italian Agency for Development Cooperation - Nairobi Office Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore UNIDO E4Impact Foundation

𝑬𝒙𝒑𝒐𝒔𝒖𝒓𝒆 𝑩𝒖𝒊𝒍𝒅𝒔 𝑽𝒊𝒔𝒊𝒐𝒏.. Before innovation takes root, it must first be sparked. That spark often comes not from theory but from seeing how others do it better, differently, or more efficiently. That is the power of exchange visits. With support from FAO Kenya under the Forest and Farm Facility program, E4Impact Foundation facilitated five Forest and Farm Producer Organizations to undertake exchange visits with cooperatives aligned to their value chains. The aim, learning by seeing and doing. Ngarua Cereals traveled to Bora Foods in Nakuru and returned with practical insights on value addition, branding, and marketing high-quality cereal products. Tenges FCS engaged with Sombo FCS in Kipkelion, Kericho County, gaining firsthand knowledge in wet coffee processing, solar drying, and effective storage. At Kipkelion Coffee Mills, they explored deeper aspects of value addition, including roasting and barista-level preparation. Kuresoi South Avocado FCS visited Nandi Avocado FCS in Lessos, where they interacted with packhouse operations and learned about advanced post-harvest handling and cold storage solutions. Sigor Youth Vision connected with Star Farm Green Nursery in Kaplong, while WTGRS drew inspiration from CABESI Honey in West Pokot County, exploring how quality control and packaging enhance market access in beekeeping. These visits were purposeful steps toward transformation. Each FFPO now returns with clarity, motivation, and practical tools to strengthen their operations. From packaging to processing, from storage to sales, they are better equipped to transform not only their cooperatives but also the communities they serve.
