At the Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA)'s Data Summit 2025, Andy Li, our Head of Corporate Banking, discussed how we're helping Hong Kong affiliates of GBA SMEs access financing through the Shenzhen-Hong Kong cross-boundary data validation platform (DVP). With the DVP, we're addressing a key challenge faced by these businesses: limited local credit histories that often result in higher financing costs and longer approval times. The DVP allows us to verify the authenticity of credit information provided by applicants without actual data transfer, making the loan approval process more efficient. As the first #digitalbank in Hong Kong to adopt this platform, we've approved over HKD 100 million in DVP-facilitated loans for Hong Kong affiliates of GBA SMEs.
