Have you ever wondered what it takes to build a #solar project that works in harmony with the land and surrounding farms? A few weeks ago, we hosted conservation planners from across Pennsylvania at our 13.2 MW Spring Lane solar farm to show just that! Led by MN8’s Joe Green, the tour gave attendees – who were attending the Pennsylvania Association of Conservation Districts and the State Conservation Commission conference nearby – an up-close look at how large scale solar projects like Spring Lane are thoughtfully developed and operated with attention to land use, environmental impact, and community collaboration. From stormwater to permitting, our team gave a behind-the-scenes look at how clean energy and conservation go hand-in-hand, managing land well today while preserving it for the future. Thanks Pennsylvania Association of Conservation Districts and State Conservation Commission for stepping into the field with us – literally!

New York City Economic Development Corporation and our partners continue to 'Get Stuff Done' in Hunts Point. On the heels of an announcement last month where we unveiled a new vision to bring a Blue Highways Facility to the Bronx and dispose of the Vernon C. Bain Correctional Center, we're back making more announcements and investments in the Hunts Point community.    Yesterday we broke ground on the $18M renovations for Building C of the Hunts Point Cooperative Market & today we announced the city’s first freight-focused EV charging hub coming to the Hunts Point Food Distribution Center. Our announcement today also focused on unlocking more economic mobility and getting New Yorkers connected directly to good-paying jobs.    These advancements are commitments of the Hunts Point Forward Plan to transform the community into a corridor for job creation, clean energy innovation, and improving the quality of life for the South Bronx.

🚛⚡ BREAKING: This morning, we joined the New York City Economic Development Corporation and other distinguished leaders to announce the Gateway to Hunts Point project - a game-changing freight EV charging hub coming to the South Bronx! This isn't just infrastructure - it's transformation: ✅ 42 EV charging plugs for medium & heavy-duty vehicles ✅ "The Bolt" - a community-centric workforce development center ✅ Permanent and construction jobs, and skills training for the local community ✅ A community solar installation With asthma rates 2.5 times higher than the city average, due in part to heavy truck traffic, the Hunts Point community is overdue for infrastructure investment that's both economically and environmentally beneficial -- exactly what we're bringing with today's announcement.
