NIS2 is more than a compliance exercise. July marks the implementation of the NIS2 directive in Danish law - a picture mirrored across Europe, where many countries have still to finalize their legislative processes. Yet, organizations that fall into the affected categories cannot postpone their journey towards compliance. Polaris Private Equity acquires the Danish consulting firm Globeteam with the intention of merging Globeteam with 7N, which is already owned by Polaris.  As a result, two of the market’s most specialized players are being united into a powerful IT partner. The merger combines the complementary strengths of the two IT consultancies, integrating Globeteam's strategic project solutions with 7N’s expertise, flexibility, and global network. “We see a strong strategic match. Globeteam’s capabilities within strategic advisory and experience with complex IT projects perfectly complement 7N’s existing business model. Combined, the new company will be able to meet most customer needs for highly specialized IT expertise and end-to-end project delivery,” says Rune Lillie Gornitzka, Partner at Polaris. Business Continuity Management (BCM) is rapidly becoming a strategic priority for organizations, particularly in response to the growing threat of cyber and ransomware attacks. This shift is being driven by evolving regulatory requirements as well as the need for stronger cross-functional risk management and a proactive approach to building operational resilience in critical business areas. In our recent global webinar, 7N Consultant and Business Continuity Thomas Schaumburg-Müller led an insightful session on “Preparing for the Unexpected,” sharing practical steps to start and run successful BCM projects. Using a ransomware scenario, he emphasized why cyber preparedness alone is not enough and the importance of aligning business, risk, and IT functions.
