This summer, our team at thyssenkrupp nucera had good reason to celebrate their #ChlorAlkali technology – in South Korea, India and Saudi Arabia. 👏 And rightly so: Because their chlor-alkali plants are not only particularly #efficient, as they consume significantly less energy compared to older processes. They also make an important contribution to a more sustainable #industry by relying on environmentally friendly processes and reducing the CO2 footprint. 🌱 And the best part: the chlor-alkali process produces #hydrogen as a by-product, which can be used as a climate-friendly #energy source. 💪

TKMS is set to become an independent, publicly listed systems provider in the maritime defense market – following today’s shareholder approval of the #spinoff, with 99.96% voting in favor. Specifically, 49% of the shares will be transferred directly to our shareholders, while we will retain majority stake with 51%. The listing on the Prime Standard segment of the Frankfurt Stock Exchange is planned before the end of the year. Our CEO Miguel Ángel López Borrego sums up: “With entrepreneurial independence, TKMS gains the freedom to drive innovation more rapidly, invest in a targeted manner, and respond flexibly to customer and market requirements. The agility and accountability of an independent company enable TKMS to take advantage of market opportunities more consistently and compete sustainably on an international level.” Fair winds and following seas to Oliver Burkhard & our #GENERATIONTK at TKMS. 🚢

The helping hand of our employees? Our robotic arms! 🤖 At thyssenkrupp rothe erde, people and #machines work together perfectly. Our #robots are used in a wide variety of areas – from surface coating to grinding and welding. 🔧 What makes them special? Unlike normal robots, which only work with one machine, our #networkedrobots are connected to all the machines on the production line. They #communicate with each other to ensure that everything runs smoothly. 🔗 The #advantage: the robots take over monotonous or physically demanding tasks, while our employees can concentrate on more #complex activities.

Great news from Norway! thyssenkrupp Polysius is supplying the #kilntechnology for SMA Mineral 's world's first climate-neutral #limeproduction plant. Together with SaltX Technology, we are scaling the #ZeroEmissionQuicklime (ZEQL) concept to an industrial level – a strong example of how we can reduce #CO2 emissions in lime production to net-zero through innovative solutions and strong partnerships. We look forward to shaping this milestone in the #decarbonization of this industry!

🌍 #Climatechange is happening now. Images of droughts, floods, and wildfires are seen around the world every day. We can either watch – or take action. At #thyssenkrupp #DecarbonTechnologies, we take responsibility and focus on #renewableenergy to be a driving force in global #decarbonization. With innovative solutions – from wind power to green hydrogen – we are paving the way for sustainable industries and climate-friendly solutions for future generations.🌱 Here at thyssenkrupp, we shape the future: 💨 by generating wind 🧠 by thinking ahead and contributing ideas 🏗️ by embedding sustainability in every business

What do these technologies and components have in common? That's right, they all drive the #energytransition forward. 👏 At thyssenkrupp, we rely on innovative solutions to actively shape this transformation – from water electrolysis for the production of green hydrogen to essential components such as slewing bearings that enable critical movement functions in wind turbines."💨 Our #electrical steel strip, which ensures efficient energy conversion in generators and transformers, also plays a key role. ⚡️ Furthermore, we develop industrial-scale plants for the production of green #chemicals such as methanol and ammonia. 🧪 #Greenmethanol is an important raw material for synthetic and more climate-friendly fuels for aircraft and ships. #Greenammonia serves as a versatile medium for energy storage and transport – allowing energy to be moved from A to B more easily and efficiently than with hydrogen. 🤝 With these innovations, we are paving the way for a more #sustainable industry and a successful energy transition. 🌱🏭

#Windpower isn't a serious energy source? Think again! In 2024, it accounted for the largest share of Germany's #energy mix. And it will continue to grow in the future – by 2030, renewable #energysources are expected to supply 80% of Germany's electricity. We ensure that everything runs smoothly – with our key components along the entire energy supply chain. From generation to #transmission to #consumption. 💨🎏

Wind turbines are too noisy? No way! Although #wind turbines are not silent, they are usually quieter in operation than their reputation. 🤫 The noise level depends on the wind strength, distance and type of turbine – and is barely higher than everyday ambient noise even after a short distance. So, the next time you're out for a walk and pass by a wind turbine, go ahead and listen carefully. 😉 At thyssenkrupp, we support the energy #transition with various #technologies: Our rothe erde® slewing bearings, for example, are the key components that transform wind into green electricity – for a more sustainable future! 💚
