Our CEO Serge ROBIN, along with Jean-Pierre Daccache, Deputy CEO and Head of Wealth Management, Hugo Roques, Head of Commodity Trade Finance, and Rani Jabban, Head of Treasury, Financial Institutions, Digital Assets & Marketing, broke down the formula that makes ABS what it is today. “At Arab Bank Switzerland, we are proud of offering a unique business model. Now we have two brands, we have Arab Bank Switzerland as a standalone and we have Gonet. The major assets are definitely the fact that we have three lines of business: we have Wealth Management, we have Commodity Trade Finance, and we have Digital Assets.” Serge Robin, CEO, Arab Bank Switzerland 🧬 Innovation and a trailblazing spirit are part of our DNA, enabling us to continually strive for growth. #SuccessIsAJourney

  • [Press Coverage 🗞️] Rani Jabban recently responded to the questions of Etienne Meyer-Vacherand from Le Temps 🇨🇭 for a dedicated article on how the digital art market is evolving, on-chain art, NFTs as a medium, and collectors’ profiles. An excerpt (in English): 🗨️ “The bank has made it its mission to support the sector by investing in artworks, but also by creating the ABS Art Prize, which was presented for the third time this year during Art Basel. ‘NFTs are merely a medium for transferring ownership. Recording on the blockchain brings transparency as well as a form of liquidity and ease of processing that doesn’t exist for all artworks. But our main focus remains on digital art on the blockchain.’ [said Rani Jabban]” Also quoted is the analysis of Jean-Michel P., co-founder of Grail Capital, and former Digital Art curator at Arab Bank Switzerland, on the era that Digital Art is entering. • [Patrons of the Arts 🎼] We are honoured to support the Fête de L’Olivier from September 13th to the 20th at L’Alhambra in Geneva. For the 10th edition of the Festival des Musiques Arabes et Méditerranéennes, outstanding artists will celebrate the richness and diversity of the Arab and Mediterranean musical heritage. 🎹 Palestinian singer, composer and pianist Faraj Suleiman places the Oriental piano at the heart of his composition, in a skilful blend of jazz and Arab music. One of the most talented composers of his time, Faraj has developed his own rich, energetic and powerful style. 🪘 Gnawa Diffusion : Hailing from different horizons, but rooted in the Mediterranean, the group's history is marked by migration, nourished by rebellion, resilience and protest. Their music, a fusion of rap, reggae, ragga, jazz and raï, reflects their tastes, emotions and backgrounds. Through the alchemy of their common background and music interest, Gnawa Diffusion gives birth to a major musical expression on the world stage. 🎷 Pioneering artist Dhafer Youssef brilliantly fuses oriental melodies, jazz and the sounds of world music. His expressive, singular and remarkably virtuosic oud playing pushes back the boundaries of convention, making him one of the most influential oud players on the contemporary music scene. An evening devoted to his latest opus, Street of Minarets, at the crossroads of jazz legends and the rhythms of traditional Arab music.

  • [Patrons of the Arts 🖼️ ] The Centre d'Art Contemporain Genève, in partnership with our Group celebrated Brazilian artist Antonio Obá on the occasion of the launch of the most comprehensive and up-to-date monograph dedicated to his work, published following his retrospective at the Centre. The celebration took place at Gonet & Cie SA’s office in Geneva (ONE swiss bank). The richly illustrated monograph invites readers to delve into Obá’s multifaceted body of work, revealing the full complexity of his iconographic universe, which explores his Afro-Brazilian roots. • [Patrons of the Arts 🎵 ] Last month, the Festival des Athénéennes, of which we are proud partners, brought together a bold and eclectic 10-day program celebrating music in all its forms, from jazz to electronic, at the Alhambra Theater in Geneva. The bank’s lounge which setting was inspired by poetry invited guests into a space where, in a symbolic choreography of languages, Arabic and Latin alphabets merged. A dialogue between typographies, pieces of memories, voice particles between silence and resonance, past and future, inspired by the present. Thank you to all who joined us and shared in this meaningful celebration of art and connection. 🙏 Marc Perrenoud

[Press Coverage 📰 ] Rani Jabban recently responded to the questions of Grégoire Barbey of Le Temps, for a special report on the rising popularity of stablecoins as well as its potential future in Switzerland 🇨🇭 . The article, which tackles the potential of this new type of digital currency, current and future uses in Switzerland and globally, as well as potential regulation around it, invited a few experts to comment on the subject, amongst whom Rani Jabban spoke about current momentum towards stablecoins, while highlighting the importance of evaluating their real-world value and potential impact. 💬 An excerpt (in English) below: "Rani Jabban, Managing Director and member of the Executive Committee at Arab Bank Switzerland, however warns that not all stablecoins are created equal. The collateralization mechanisms designed to guarantee convertibility with the reference asset vary from one stablecoin to another, as do the guarantees. 'This heterogeneity also implies different risks for users, ranging from collateral volatility to dependence on a centralized issuer.'" "For Rani Jabban, while the interest is palpable, 'it is essential to look beyond the simple trend effect and consider the real gains for the consumer, concrete improvements to services, cost reductions and the creation of new sources of revenue'. The banker believes that only a few players have the necessary leverage to make their mark in this market. He expects the tech giants to become the next stablecoin growth engine."
