Akris Unveils First Chicago Boutique   Akris is pleased to share the opening of their first-ever Chicago boutique located at 101 East Oak Street in the heart of Chicago’s Gold Coast neighborhood. The space occupies 3500 square feet and will offer the newest collections from Akris, Akris punto and Akris accessories. The boutique incorporates the new design concept in partnership with David Chipperfield Architects Milan. Akris wanted to preserve the rich Chicago history attributed to the neighborhood, especially regarding the building’s classic red brick aesthetic. Kriemler and Chipperfield meticulously designed a new metal-glass façade securely attaching the structure to the existing masonry façade while minimizing removal of the associated finishes and intricate architectural elements.   “Oak Street has always been special – its rich history, grand architecture, its people. We are proud to be a new part of this neighborhood. As a sign of respect, it was important for us to preserve the historic façade while also introducing something new – a metal-glass façade in the best of David Chipperfield’s architecture. Spring/Summer 2025 – Akris Windows This season, the Akris windows aim to translate the essence of the Spring/Summer 2025 collection into a visual experience. Through soft colors and a play lightness, the displays echo the delicate textures and refined materials of the collection. A textured wallpaper backdrop subtly references the runway venue, adding a depth while keeping a minimalist aesthetic. The contrast between the tactile, structured backwall and the fluidity of the garments creates a harmonious balance. Every element is intentionally pared back – allowing the clothes and accessories to speak for themselves.
