  • Your primary school principal is at the heart of your school community, leading with compassion to make a lasting impact on our children's learning and lives. We're proud to support Australian Primary Principals Day in celebrating the extraordinary contributions of school leaders across the country. On Friday, we encourage you to take a moment to acknowledge your primary principal's dedication, expertise, leadership and courage. Whether it's a note, a card, or a community shout-out. Every message matters. To every principal, we appreciate your valued contribution to our school communities. Like you're there for them, we're here for you. 💚 #PrincipalsDay2025 #TeachersHealth

On Friday, 1 August 2025, we invite you to use Australian Primary Principals Day as an opportunity to acknowledge your primary principal’s unique place in your school (and wider) community and to say THANK YOU for their dedication and valued contribution. Take time on Friday, 1 August 2025 to contact your local primary principal, share a word of personal encouragement and show your appreciation. A few words of thanks at assembly, a celebratory morning tea, a parent thank-you note, or a small card or picture from the students, is all it takes. Your acknowledgement will make such a difference in reminding principals why they love doing what they do and assure them of your support and shared commitment to building strong learning and life foundations for our children.

  • At Teachers Health Group, we believe reconciliation begins with education, with the stories we honour and the relationships we build. We’re proud to sponsor the schools category of Reconciliation Australia's Narragunnawali Awards 2025, which recognise schools and early learning services leading the way with heart, courage and commitment. “Narragunnawali gives educators a way in. It supports them to bring First Nations cultures, languages and histories into their classrooms and early learning services with care and respect,” shared Sharon Davis, Chair of the Judging Panel and Reconciliation Australia Board Director. This deeply reflects our values, that lasting change grows from truth-telling, learning and strong relationships with community. We’re honoured to walk alongside educators helping shape a future grounded in equity, respect and shared understanding. • Today marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter as TUH officially joins Teachers Health Group, bringing together two proud organisations with over 120 years of combined experience supporting people in education, nursing, union sectors, and their families. Together, we’ve formed a truly national, union-based, not-for-profit health fund. We’re proud to be the largest union-based fund in Australia and the sixth largest overall supporting around 500,000 members. This shared journey strengthens our ability to deliver even greater value, broader access to care and more comprehensive support. Members will benefit from an expanded provider network, increased long-term value and access to all Health Centre locations, including TUH Health Hub in Brisbane. To mark the occasion, we gathered in Brisbane and Sydney to celebrate our shared purpose, our growing community and the exciting journey ahead. Here’s to the start of something special. #TogetherBetter 💚💙

We’re excited to announce that TUH and Teachers Health have officially merged to form a stronger, national not-for-profit health fund under the Teachers Health Group banner. Together, we’re now Australia’s largest industry health fund and the only one dedicated to the education community. As Brad Joyce, CEO of Teachers Health Group, said: "This is not just a coming together of two organisations. It’s a unification of two legacies, a member-first philosophy and a shared purpose." Executives and Senior Leaders from Teachers Health visited the TUH office in Queensland to help celebrate the milestone and mark the beginning of an exciting new chapter for our members and teams.

Since 2017, Teachers Health Group has partnered with Australia for UNHCR to help deliver life-saving healthcare to displaced mothers and newborns in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. As a proud sponsor, we attended Australia for UNHCR’s #WorldRefugeeDay event in support of this year’s theme #SolidarityWithRefugees, highlighting the urgent need to protect children displaced by conflict. We heard from inspiring speakers, including Fair Work Commissioner Oanh Thi Tran and lawyer and human rights advocate Sajjad Askary, and witnessed a powerful performance by slam poet Huda Fadlelmawla, winner of the 2025 Les Murray Award for Refugee Recognition. This long-standing partnership reflects our belief that access to quality healthcare is a basic human right, no matter where you live. With our support in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, over 100,000 consultations for mothers and babies have been delivered, a new maternity ward built and neonatal ICU equipment provided. This has led to more than 3,500 safe deliveries and over 5,700 children receiving the measles vaccine, a vital refugee health intervention. It’s a cause deeply aligned with our values of care and compassion and one that’s delivering real outcomes in maternal and child survival. 💚 #TeachersHealth #AustraliaForUNHCR
