Have you had the chance to read our latest 2024 Impact Report: Pathways to Financial Wellbeing? We surveyed five Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities across the country to learn more about their perspectives on financial security, money systems and more. The research shows that our supported finance model can deliver long-term benefits in financial wellbeing for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, and therefore wellbeing overall, even after customers have moved on from IBA. 🌱 From Sole Trader to Territory Trailblazer 🚧 Madelyn Farrington and Ryan Butterworth took a leap of faith—transforming their sole trading civil construction business into a company, Butterworth Industries. Fast forward to today, and their journey is a testament to grit, vision, and the power of starting small. Their story, featured in Territory Q Magazine, is more than just business growth—it's about building community, creating opportunities, and inspiring the next generation of leaders in the NT because when one generation lifts the next, entire communities rise. 💬 “We are the small people in the big game,” says Quandamooka woman Madelyn, whose legacy is rooted in sharing experiences and empowering others to chase their dreams. 💬 “Business is tough," she says. "If it was easy, everyone would be doing it. There is so much opportunity out there for anyone with the drive to make a change or to do better, not only for themselves but for their community as well.” This is how generational change begins: with courage, community, and a commitment to growth. 🔗 Read the full story: From Small Things Big Things Grow https://xmrrwallet.com/cmx.plnkd.in/gHiEGVrX

NAIDOC Week 2025 Wrap-Up! The Next Generation - Strength, Vision & Legacy! This year marked a historic milestone, 50 years of NAIDOC Week, celebrating the enduring strength, culture, and resilience of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. The 2025 theme, "The Next Generation: Strength, Vision & Legacy," honoured the past while spotlighting the future, led by empowered Indigenous youth and guided by the wisdom of Elders. Community celebrations were hosted across the country. Events included, cultural performances, storytelling sessions, stalls, live performances and ceremony. These gatherings fostered connection and pride. Focusing on uplifting the next generation, showcasing their leadership and strength. We are proud to walk alongside First Nations people, including customers, stakeholders and the Galambany network. Always was, always will be. #NAIDOC 💙💚🖤💛❤️

Sharing a 50-year milestone with NAIDOC, we thought it was the perfect time to share this with all of you. Our theme is “Through the Generations” which represents generational excellence, success and impact of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and communities. We reflect on the past 50 years as we share our journey and the path we walk alongside Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, ensuring economic independence and empowerment remain accessible for generations to come. The animation video not only is a representation of who we are and what we do but tells a story. Story and storytelling are fundamental within Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities – it is a powerful exchange of connection. This custom-drawn animation video was created with Blackfisch, an Indigenous owned creative company, supporting cultural awareness and social equity through the power of story. “Through the Generations” – One Legacy. Many Futures. Your stories. Our history. 50 years through the Generations.

HAPPY NAIDOC! We hope Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people can take time to celebrate! Celebrate their longstanding culture, 65,000 years, standing on Sacred Land, and being the oldest continuing culture in the world. Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people are one with this Country and we see the resilience, honour and strength of First Nations people. Wishing you all spend this week and month, attending events with your people, connecting, sharing, and laughing. @naidoc_week always get the theme right! This year being 'The Next Generation: Strength, Vision, Legacy' gifts us a path forward, a focus. We see our programs and products at IBA a key to nurture the next generation into economic sustainability and the opportunity to build intergenerational wealth.

Strength, vision, and legacy are key elements of this year’s NAIDOC 2025 theme, ‘The Next Generation’. Ngarrindjeri Elder, Aunty Ellen Trevorrow, represents all of those elements. She stitched this beautiful piece as part of her work with Mardawi (‘sister weavers’). Aunty Ellen is one of the 2025 NAIDOC Award Finalists for Female Elder of the Year. Some of our staff had the honour to hold space with Aunty Ellen during their recent Jawun (meaning family) secondment experiences in South Australia. NAIDOC Week is just around the corner. Remember that is a time for us all to recognise and celebrate our guiding Elders and their enduring legacy, as well as make room for the next generation who carry us forward in this great country.
